With the New Drug Testing that will Come in after the Mitchell Report, I can see the Players Union might not like it and They Could Strike.
That is What I can see Happening

I AM DA MAN
Drug testing is a fact of life in nearly every major sport now. After the Mitchell Report (and probably before it came out) I expect the general public would have zero support for players who refuse to be tested. Baseball has pretty much tended to turn a blind eye to the steroid/HGH issues for too long. It cant anymore.
Exactly. Can you imagine the firestorm of fan rage that would be brought down on the players union if the struck over drug testing? they would be absolutely vilified. There would also be a very good chance of it being as destructive to the game as the LAST strike was.
This might sound really stupid, what happened with the last players strike? I was very little when it happened and dont know much about it
If the union were to strike over drug testing, it might be the one chance the owners were looking for to break the union.
Red Sox Fan : Basically, fans got angry, and actually stayed away in some numbers for awhile afterwards...until the long ball started cranking up. I will always be bitter, because that whole situation basically destroyed the last hopes of the Montreal Expos (who had a **** of a team that year, too).

'No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference." ~Tommy Lasorda
Totally not gonna happen. More like fans would strike if there isn't drug testing.
won't happen over testing but testing might be thrown in underneath other issues the players have possibly....
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are .
The MLBPA has no room to strike until at least 2010 anyway, since they just signed a new CBA earlier this year.
You insist that there is something a machine cannot do. If you will tell me precisely what it is that a machine cannot do, then I can always make a machine which will do just that! -J. von Neumann
I don't see it.
Baseball revenue is up, salaries are up, scandal aside people are watching baseball again and I don't think the union wants the PR hit.
