Pedroia played the last two months of the season with a broken bone in his left hand. That kid deserves everything he gets.

Because Braun had one of the best offensive seasons for a rookie in history?

    Seriously. So dumb.

Defense and offense both have value. Tulo deserved a Gold Glove. Both Braun and Tulo deserved ROTY if it was possible. They were that close. You need to discount Tulo's offense a bit because of Coors Field (yes, he had substantially better numbers at Coors). Braun's defense was abominable, but his offense was off the charts. They were both very close, and as such, the very close vote reflects that.

And nobody deserves to die because they're stupid, chill.

Braun deserved it more than Tulowitzki, he played in more than 40 less games and still beat him out in HR, SB, 3B, BA, OBP, SLG. OPS, OPS+. Just think what would have happened if he had played a full year.

A World Series appearance doesn't matter at all, because it's a REGULAR SEASON award. Playoff performance, or lack thereof, doesn't mean squat.

Really, anyone who didn't think the NL award was going to be as close as it was was deluding themselves. You could make a strong case for BOTH of these guys, so it's hard for me to say that Tulowitzki got robbed, or anything along those lines.

ROY has hardly anything to do with defense. It's almost all offense.

Let's see if I can parse this....

    coors have humidors
It's still an offensive park. Tulo hit .326/.392/.568 at home. He hit .256/.327/.393 on the road.

what about phillies park. they much offense than ours.
First, take a look at these park factors. Coors Field was third in the league when it comes strictly to runs, while Citizens Bank was 14th. Citizens Bank was the best home run park, and Coors was 5th, but Coors also inflates batting average, while Citizens Bank actually lowered batting average very slightly.

Second, that's irrelevent to a discussion about Tulo and Braun.

milwaukee have good hitters so it doesnt matter and who was in world seires this year tulo
That doesn't matter. First, the votes are cast before the playoffs even begin. Second, Tulo and Braun are but one player on their respective team. Teams get to the World Series. Not players.

yes he did b/c of coors field and i know. so waht writers are stupid idiots adn deserve to be fired
He got robbed because of Coors Field? No? I doubt the writers even took park factors into much account. They usually don't. If they did, he wouldn't be getting robbed - he'd be deservedly losing value because of his home park. It was a very close award. To say the writers are stupid because one great rookie barely beat out another great rookie is silly.

and probaly 40-45 errors too. tulo has only 11 errors and hardest position.
Yes, that's all fair. Tulo was great defensively. Braun sucks. But Braun's offense was as much better than Tulo's as Tulo's defense was than Braun's, if not more.

It might be easier to accept your criticisms, yamiviet, if you weren't the biggest Rockies fan around, which hardly makes you an unbiased observer. Offense wins awards. Is it fair? Probably not. but that's how it is. It's true in every **** sport...the glory stats win awards. Numerous NFL Defensive Players of the Year racked up quarterback sacks and won the award, even though much better players had great all around seasons and deserved it more.

And no, Tulowitzki did NOT get robbed, as you continually claim. Braun HAD A GOOD YEAR. Was he good on defense? No...nobody rational would make that claim. But he had a fantastic season with the bat in his hands, as you would have to admit. They were both equally deserving of the award, in all honesty. You could make a case for either of them getting it. Nobody was robbed.

Re: and the Rookies of the year are...

Ryan Braun had 128 points. Troy Tulowitzki had 126.

Braun got 17 first place votes, 14 second place votes, and one third place vote.
Tulo got 15 first place votes, and 17 second place votes.

You can't get much close than that. You're blanketly labeling all sports writers as stupid because they were evenly split between two equally deserving candidates.

that's what I said. Tulo may have been a much better fielder and almost as good as hitter as Braun but he only lost by two points. It wasn't like the AL ROY who won the majority. this is why they don't reveal the results of the Acadamy awards or Emmys because people who lost would be mad they lost by two points or something.
