i think it a bad idea, personally.
They are still the Blue Jays, their uni's just say "Jays"

on the original post, that is athe way all crappy teams try to improve....by changing the color and or name of the team. Like the Arizona Cardnials who tried to make the team better by changing the unis and adding a darker outline to the logo OMG!!! (sorry, still felt that idea was idiotic)

But meh i like the green better.

It's about separating yourself from all things that remind people of losing. It's a fresh start kind of thing. Getting rid of all of the old stuff, fans don't associate the new uni with a long losing streak.....yet.......

You may call me whatever pleases you, that won't get you into trouble with the other mods.

Rumor is Free agents that sign with the B-Jays will get a Hummer from the manager.

I like the logo and the jerseys. Well, if switching the Diamondbacks to those hideous jerseys they wear now (I liked the purple ones they used to wear, but their new jersey and colors look like dirt) and rebranding them the D-Backs, while turning the team into the worst offense in baseball can get them the best record in the National League, then this change should help out Tampa Bay.

At least Tampa Bay didn't switch to something hideous like the other 1998 expansion team did.

Yeah, just ask David Wright. He collapsed to the tune of a .352/.432/.602 line with 6 HR and 20 RBI!

Ok, not everyone collapsed, but anyways...I heard a rumour (honestly) that the Rockies had donated their post season salaries to the family of the minor league coach that was struck by the foul ball and died. Anyone able to confirm yay or nay?

I don't have a link, but yes, the Rockies did donate a portion of their postseason salaries to the coach's family. I don't believe they donated all of it.

I just saw a little blip about it but dont know where...to be honest I totally expected it to be in Rick Reilley's column in my SI issue.
