McDonald probably should have won the AL SS.

Yeah, that's what he gets for sucking at the plate, unfortunately.

Here are Gold Gloves based on Fielding Win Shares at the Hardball Times. Oddly enough, pitchers aren't assigned win shares in the Hardball Times system -- I don't know if it's because it's been omitted or it's because a pitcher's fielding contributes such a negligent portion of Fielding Win Shares that it's essentially zero.

    C: K Johima, Mariners
    1B: K Youkilis, Red Sox
    2B: M Ellis, Athletics
    SS: J Uribe, White Sox
    3B: M Lowell, Red Sox
    OF: C Crisp, Red Sox
    OF: V Wells, Blue Jays
    OF: C Granderson, Tigers

    C: C Snyder, Diamondbacks
    1B: D Lee, Cubs
    2B: B Phillips, Reds
    SS: T Tulowitzki, Rockies
    3B: R Zimmerman, Nationals
    OF: A Jones, Braves
    OF: C Young, Diamondbacks
    OF: C Beltran, Mets

    Seems pretty good.

Here is the same thing, based on Revised Zone Rating, which doesn't have catchers or pitchers:

    1B: K Youkilis, Red Sox
    2B: M Ellis, Athletics
    SS: T Pena, Royals
    3B: M Lowell, Red Sox
    OF: M Cabrera, Yankees
    OF: D DeJesus, Royals
    OF: C Granderson, Tigers

    1B: A Pujols, Cardinals
    2B: B Phillips, Reds
    SS: O Vizquel, Giants
    3B: P Feliz, Giants
    OF: A Jones, Braves
    OF: E Byrnes, Diamondbacks
    OF: C Beltran, Mets

    Pretty close in agreement.

Would have liked to have seen Omar Vizquel win the gold glove as well, but haven't seen enough of Rollins' playing to vote against him. Vizquel is just fun to watch play the field.
I would have to agree whole heartedly with this. Omar is amazing to watch. He makes bare handed plays look easy. Even if you hate the Giants, watch a game when he is playing.
