You want to stay "unconscious".

Once one has the time to stop and think about the mathematical probabilities of such a streak,
one cannot avoid the recognition of a potential "correction".

the old baseball adage "think long , think wrong" seems to apply to these situations.

Agreed. 2004 was a great story because the Red Sox battled back to make history by humiliating the Evil Empire. It would be a travesty if it happened now.
