Jim Riggleman as Bench Coach, Mel Stottlemyre as Pitching Coach, Norm Charlton as Bullpen Coach and Eddie Rodriguez as 1st Base Coach. They're still waiting to see if Bowa will agree to be 3rd Base Coach.

Wow I just looked at Mel's book today and almost picked it up. Bowa would be a good addition for them though I am hoping he stays with the Yanks.
They need to hire a new manager.
And a general manager while they're at it.

Isn't that the truth.
Torre is available and Mel and Bowa both worked with him!
They're not replacing their manager, unfortunately. I don't think Torre would be a good fit for Seattle, but I think a pumpkin might be better than McLaren, so Torre obviously would be too.
Torre....better than a pumpkin......Wow say it ain't so Joe!
I say hire John Olerud as manager! Mainly because he was my favorite player.![]()
Any idea if they approached him at all? There are quite a few guys who I've seen turn down a manager job at the major league level so they can keep teaching the kids in the minors. Some people just enjoy that more than dealing with the egos and whatnot at the Majors level.

He got fired actually. He was named an Administrative Assistant (whatever the heck that is.) before 2005, and then was fired before this season.
huh...
Oh well.

I am happy to see Mel back out coaching again!
