    That is an easy one....his lack of production lead to more losses than otherwise, IF he had batted just average RF league numbers.

    He hit .342/.454/.618 with 4 HR and 18 RBI in September.

    The Red Sox went 15-11 in September.

    The Red Sox really played no part in the tight finish. They never stopped winning. The Yankees simply played outstanding. .
