Just bought the game, installed it and started playing a season. First three games(I am GMing the Seahawks BTW) I did not use the "simulate" options but instead did the whole play-by-play manual thing.
I should also note that, before starting the season I traded Shaun Alexander to NY for Brandon Jacobs and J. Shockey(which is bizarre since the Giants would not be so stupid as to do such a thing) and also dumped Hasslebeck on Atlanta in exchange for Shaub & P. Kerney.
Everything basically went fine and I was 3-0. Then I decided to 'simulate' the rest of the season. I noticed that in at least two different simulated matches, the Seahawks outscored their opponents(i.e. SEA 22, SD(Chargers) 6) but it registered as a loss and it was the losing team that was yellow-highlighted as the winner. I triple checked this to make sure I was seeing things correctly.
The only other odd thing I have noticed thus far in simulation mode is to be expected I guess. The AI seems to think that players who start the pre-season as second stringers on any team, regardless of situation are always inferior and roughly equal to any other second stringer at the position. For example Brandon Jacobs who is in RL a stellar RB and nearly impossible to bring down cannot get 30 total yards during a simulated game and his scouting report says he is "bad even for a college player"!? I am not at all a NY fan btw(Seattle is my team) but this is just silly. same thing with Matt Shaub where he seems unable to throw more TDs than interceptions or to amass 200 passing yards with any consistency.
My system: Windows XP w/1.2 gigs of RAM and a 256 MB GeForce.
And I was using the latest OFFICIAL patched version(through the auto-updater). Have now downloaded the latest UNOFFICIAL patch but have not used it yet.
