Well to be fair, when you see a post count of less than 5 on a contributor, wouldn't you want to back off a little, so they don't get scared off and leave?
I think I called you the fruitcake, in all honesty.
TacoBoy? that was after the Sheffield thread.
I don't pay attention to post count that much. I often don't look at it at all.
Yes, that was you, but I didn't want to seem like I was implying that you're continually insulting me, as you're not, you just HAVE, and a lot of the insults directed to me have been from other people.I think I called you the fruitcake, in all honesty
You insist that there is something a machine cannot do. If you will tell me precisely what it is that a machine cannot do, then I can always make a machine which will do just that! -J. von Neumann
So, it was TacoBoy both times? Heh.
Well, I come from a very violent mud. Pretty much nothing other than the newbie and the main gossip channel is moderated except by channel owners. The boards aren't really modded either. Insults are a way of life there, and you better be good or you get ran off.
Clay has always kept the forums here pretty darn liberal. At least compared to many of the other forums that I'm a member of.
That being said, there aren't any actual "unmoderated" forums here. Ejections is close, but we still look at it...
Not really saying anything here, just imparting a bit of info is all.

It's better this way. I've been on many other forums, and it seems that the ones with the most rules and moderation actually have the most problems. These forums are relatively problem-free. A bad apple every now and then, but not constant issues.
Actually, HGM reminds me of someone from my mud, except that he hates sports (but his brother does like baseball, ironically). Funny thing is we used to be clanned together, but man the fights we had on channels were great.
What's mud?
multi user dungeon. A text-based game loosely based off of d and d
Sounds interesting.
Yea, no kidding.
MUDS are awesome, you ought to give them a try some time. Google it when you get a chance.
UO, Everquest, WOW, etc... have basically taken the mud concept and run with it. The original MUD/MOO/MUSH style is still lots of fun though.
