While investigating 10.19 After Draft Auto-Sort AI, I discovered this bug, which may or may not be part of the one reported there.
This applies to both games continued from earlier versions and those started in 10.21, for both historical and fictional players. Some players (I can't find any similarities between them, nor differences from players who do not suffer from the bug) play an imaginary game at the major-league level immediately after the conclusion of the draft.
Case in point, SP Alex Anay, the first-round pick (5th overall) by the San Diego Padres in the 1999 amateur draft. His pitching record shows one career ML appearance which, according to his game log, happened on 1 June (the same day as the draft) at home against the Angels. However, the Padres were in Philadelphia that day, where Charles Nagy got the start.
