A 15 bajillion game lead doesn't hurt either. Twins are coming to the playoffs. They probably won't win it all, but it would be awful cool. They have talent too, it's not like motivation is absolutely everything. That stupid Glad Bag stadium is the only thing wrong with Minnesota right now.

Can any Minnesota residents shed some light on news surrounding the attempt to get a new stadium built?
Have the contraction rumours deadened any political will for state funding?

I would think Minnesota fans would feel their team and their city is making steps in the right direction, that they care about their beloved Twins staying in Minnesota.
But are they gonna build a stadium? I think they are. Their contraction odds are virtually nil now that they are in a playoff run and have the biggest lead in the majors. What kind of bad pub would it be to contract a great team? It's looking the Marlins could be contracted now, so I think if Minnesota decides not to build a new stadium, it won't be because of contraction scares.

I'm not a resident currently, but i know the twins. The Metrodome is under pressure because of the Vikings threaten to leave if they don't get a new stadium. The Metrodome isn't really old and i've been there pently of times and its great. I even camped out in front of the metrodome before. The Problem is that the want to keep it in the same area but can't find a big enough place to put it without screwing up parking. Have you been to the Dome? Parking is terrible. They plan on building a new dome and have 3 possible spots. Sounds like Hubert H. Humphry is dead and isn't the dome anymore. New contratible roof that will be neat but the dome was climate controled in fricken cold minnesota.Originally posted by Clay Dreslough

No I'm not joking. If I was joking I would have said "So a guy walks into a bar..."
