Well unfortunetly for me my 30 days expired while I was waitng for all the promised patches and improvements. The company made alot of patches in the baseball game so I figured that they would make good on their promises with the football game as well. So basically they played me for the fool this time. Now if clay is willing to refund my money even though it's well past the 30 days i'll obviuosly take it but I wouldn't expect that to happen.

I'm guessing that most people who like the game are casual/unInformed football fans. I can understand how a casual fan might enjoy it. But I don't think that was the intended target. I can't see any hardcore fan really enjoying this game. The problems are too numerous to list and their is much more competion in the football genre. I just hate how the game was released then only half-assed supported. Then when people complain the moderators scream "Small Company", "Small Company" & "The game costs &20 other games cost more". blah,Blah. Pathetic excuses. I bought the game was extremly disappointed,, waited because patches were promised never happened. Don't make a game if your not going to support it. I don't care how small the company is.

The best (or worst?) part is that I mostly agree with you. And actually, not that I can really speak for him, I think that Clay does as well. Aparently part of the problem is the dev team who was hired to work on the latest FM... There were issues with the implementations of SkinCrafter, along with some bugs which should have been obvious during development. That took away too much time away from the normal development routine which we've all come to expect from Sports Mogul. It even cut into Baseball Mogul's development, which is a mortal sin around here since that's what brings in the real money.

Eh, anyway. It's still an OK game. It's not up to par at all, but there are some good things in it. I enjoyed it for a while at least, so in my mind it was at least worth the $20. It's disappointing, but I can't really be angry about it. But that's me... vent away to your own hearts content.

Really it's that type of attitude that is making the game lose fan base. There is a market out there for football simulation games and if the problems with this game were addressed, it could easily capitalize on that market. It's an easy program to run, it takes up little space, you can run it in the background while you work on other things...it's just that in its current form it's not worth playing if you are a hardcore fan.

I bought the game and i am surprised with the type of problems reported. I can run and play the game very smoothly. I don´t really use the play game feature because it is rather poor, but i can make trades during the draft with no problems, altough the trade engine could be tweaked. In fact the thing that i really like about the game is building trough the draft and trading. The simulation of the games has a few bugs. If somehow the dev team can bring it up to par with Baseball mogul 07, we could have ourselves a cool game. All in all it´s not that bad.
