    Updated High-Res Portraits

Here's an updated set of high-res photos using the latest portraits from MLB.com. Photos include almost everybody on each team's active roster. Some people are missing and some I cannot get photos for, but as I find them I will update them. Here are some samples:

This is the download link containing the pics for all teams except Toronto: http://rapidshare.com/files/24164994/Full_Set.rar
This link is for the entire Blue Jays team: http://rapidshare.com/files/24682754/Blue_Jays.rar
A link to photos for the entire Nationals team (courtesy of Jeff Olsen): http://forum.sportsmogul.com/attachm...5&d=1174855079

The above three links will give you a full set of pics for every team and that's all you should really need.

This is an updated set of about 40 new pics for various players that were not included the first time around (e.g. Dice-K, Okajima, etc.): http://rapidshare.com/files/32972192/May_Portraits.rar

You might want to change file names to the corresponding Lahman IDs where possible; that way they'll definitely work for both versions.

I like these better than Chris's. Kinda dark though, don't you think?

Alright, thanks for the info about Lahman, I'll work on that. As for the picture quality, I can go through and readjust them without losing too much quality. The ones you posted seem a tad grainy but let me know if this one is any better:

Alright, new upload is available. I suggest deleting the pics from the set I first uploaded as they have been updated & renamed in this latest upload. All pics have been renamed according to the Lahman database (at least for those who are in the database). Also, I have adjusted the lighting in the pics to make them brighter. 3 teams are included along with the original 3, so there are now pics for the following teams:

    Arizona
    Atlanta
    Baltimore
    Boston
    Chicago (N)
    New York (A)

Man it's a good thing you're doing these, I was never gonna get around to it. Good job.

Hey here's a little tip for you if you don't know, you can get any guy that went to spring training with a team even if they aren't on the active roster. Here's how.

Let's take a guy on an active roster. Chipper Jones for example. The link to his high-res pic is:

Now let's say you want a guy who was a non-roster invitee. Braves prospect Jarrod Saltalamacchia, for example. Go to his profile on MLB.com, get the six-digit number in his link - in this case 457454 - and replace it in the original link.

So there ya go. You might have already known this, but oh well. Thanks for doing these, I was never gonna get around to it editing my MLB 2K7 roster. You're doing a good job, I know everyone here will appreciate them.

I volunteered to assist jt in this undertaking; starting with the Washington Nationals and working my way up.

Thanks for the help Jeff . I've gotten through 6 more teams since the last update. However, I'm going to hold off uploading more files until everything is completely finished.

No problem. Your results are similar to mine so I think they'll work well together.

I changed my jpeg compression to 1; that should take care of the graininess you mentioned earlier. Brett Campbell is a placeholder until the better pic is available.

If you're going to do that, you might as well use PNG since it's lossless.

just something I seem to be noticing, jeff, and it may just be me but do the colors seem a bit washed out? like the bg and face seem an off-color shade of red

I think that that's just an effect of the background and the caps changing your color perception. A lot of Red tends to bleed over, to your eyes. I see what you're saying, though.

I wasn't aware the game could handle PNG for player pics.
