Thumbs up Some things I'd like to see

Some things I'd like to see:

    • A "cancel" button on the game screen so you aren't forced into playing/simulating a game you can't get out of when you don't want. (saving in the middle of a game would be great too)

    • An improved field position map which more clearly shows which direction you're heading... feel kind of stupid when I'm only half paying attention and attempt an 89-yd field goal.

    • substitution control... I was leading the Browns to glory in the divisional playoffs, leading the Broncos 28-3... both my QB and RB got hurt when they should have been resting. I had to play the AFC title game without them. Have the player lists reflect who is in the game more closely.

    All great suggestions.

Yeah this is what I'm talking about. No major new features-- just smooth things around the edges a little. I do wish it was clear which side you're on, which way you're going etc. And the other stuff you mentioned too.

Oh and it would be nice if, while play-by-playing a game you try to save, and it tells you it's not allowed, if it didn't just sim the whole thing for you as punishment lol.

(That hasn't happened lately of course-- just a couple times while I was still new to the game.)

Excellent suggestions. For substitiution control, I'd like a checkbox to protect a player. I've had starters whom I benched for protection injured on the special teams! "Protect" would have the same effect as injury in removing a player from the game, unless no one were available at that position, in which case players would be unprotected from the bottom of the depth chart upward. For example, let's say you protect your #1 and #2 TE's in a runaway game, then sim the game to finish. If you had four TE's and #3 got injured, #2 would go back in the game as needed: #4 would play in the Pro formation, but #2 would take the primary spot and #4 the secondary spot in the Tight formation. It would also make sense during a simmed finish of a game to cancel protection if the other team closes to within a touchdown or 10 points or something.

I would love to see more flexible league editing, like changing the amount of divisions and being able to add more teams, right now you can only add 2, also would be cool to be able to add more then 16 games...also would be nice to have the feature they have in baseball where you move your team to a new city, I know you can do it in the football game but in the baseball game its more real because you have to get it voted on and have enough cash...just some suggestions on a already great game.
