Just download the csv version, and copy the new files into the lahman folder that is under the base Baseball Mogul directory.

If you start in 2007, which teams would players be on?

should be the team that their listed on in the database. The only problem with that is that there isn't an option to start in 2007. I guess we'll just have to wait for the Mogul 2008 beta to get that. Still, the database files are updated through 2006, so all the players and all the teams at the beginning of the 2006 season should be correct. I'm not sure exactly what's changed though.

you could start in 2006, then make a universe (.mog file) and have the start year start in 2007

I replaced the old files with the new ones and now my game is not working when it tries to load rookies....

Are the old files just last year's version of the database? If not, can someone send me their lahman folder?

I had the same problem myself, but I redid it and it works. You need:
Allstar
AwardsPlayers
Batting
Fielding
FieldingOF
HallOfFame
Master
Pitching
Teams

In order to get the game to run. I assume that you need to <name>Post.csv files as well, for the game to import post season stats.

BTW, since this has obviously more interest in regards to Mogul than on it's own, I've moved it to the Baseball Mogul: General Discussions forum.

Does this effect Players we can Draft?

I would assume it allows you to draft players who made their MLB debut in 2006.

I'll be able to tell you for certain in about... 30 minutes or so. Up to 1968 in one sim right now (with some "massaged" numbers. )
