New one for me - Im "locked" in...

Well since yesterday I m locked in my flat - not "officially" but am all the same.

let me explain - to get in the front door of my building you need to scan your "building beeper" - so far so good, but yesterday as I was getting the elevator I pulled out my keys & my beeper fell out on the floor ,exploded "split in two" & half fell down the lift "shaft".

I phoned the maintenance guys & they said they will come Monday afternoon (Im +7 EST) so for the last 36 hours I cant leave the building...arhh... because the car is in the garage (need a beeper to open the door) & I cant leave my block because Im not sure I can get back in ...

    ****... pure ****...

ouch! Too bad there isn't a keypad to enter a code or something...

There is a good reason to live where dogs provide your home security.

This is very very weird situation....there is no "lock" on the buildings' entrance all down to modern technology

I'd just break it. It's your residence so just break in. Too bad but it's their problem.
