I would have to say that the Mets probably did, since Glavine is usually horrid on short rest. It does help the Cards' bullpen more than the Mets' bullpen I think. Hopefully it let Edmonds and Pujols heal a little.
A real quandry but I agree will help Glavine a lot pitching on almost "normal " rest question is will "Mr Weaver be at home ?" like in their previous encounter...
Still think that Leyland is the biggest winner in all this (more rest for Zumaya & team,& the NL teams lose another "off day" that was unplaned)
Sad to say, but given the pitching matchup (Glavine rested, Weaver at Busch, Cards vs LHP), I would bet on the Mets for game 5 if I was the betting type
Looks like it will go to 7 then with Carpenter v Maine (game 6) leaving ...Oliver/Perez v Reyes/Suppan ?
i'd love to see a game 7. there always fun to watch.
