Animated GIF for Signature

Not a bug, but I was wondering why

Can Upload Animated GIF for Signature No

when there is a maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller)? Do animated gifs cause problems for some people? I was thinking of maybe using 8 bpp one to save space in the sig.

The latest version of Vbulletin is handling sigs differently...it mentioned that when I restarted the board.

That must be one of the changes. I'll see if I can override it to get it back to what it was before..whatever that was.

The old version did not allow you to upload any graphics to your sig if I recall correctly, but this version does. When I edit my sig, there are now two options that I believe did not exist before:

• Can Upload Images for Signature (which is turned on)
• Can Upload Animated GIF for Signature (which is turned off)

It is the second one that I am asking to have turned on, unless that would cause problems of any sort, in which case I will gladly withdraw my request.

I just enabled the animated .gif thing. We'll see how it goes. Just a caveat: if it bogs the server, we may have to pull it. But for now, flicker, flash and animate to your heart's content!

Maybe there is an option to ignore Sigs.

I have also seen his work....but Kingmobs sig is the most annoying one I have ever seen...he has since deleted it, or he doesnt show it. I has like 200 lines of political ****. lol

Mob only seems to turn on his sig when he's starting a thread in ejections, which is certainly a good thing since it is nothing but a huge political rant.
