I had saved the 71 game before the freeze.
re-started. selected 'play multiple seasons' hoping would skip freeze. didn't.

game seems to have its mind made up on certain things.
football stats just aren't the equivalent as baseball ones. no real crossover.

you can go in under Owner Mode and Edit Stats for individual players (you might already know that)
that's the only thing I can think of.

the draft...

the game seems set based on number of franchises, divisions, etc.
once you start with fewer teams it tends to fall apart.

I get good stability when I start around 2021 with eight divisions / two...

I've also noticed the schedule is a bit off. My team will play out-of-division foes twice but not division teams.

went back to 1955. changed team names. tried to switch...

I don't think I'll be buying another version if they won't deal with the stuff we talk about.

won't let you use wild cards depending on number of divisions / teams.
I tried playing some games in that era and as I recall I got interleague stuff.

never had any admin problems with this game, but I have with other stuff. maybe a windows problem.

so I played the new version starting 2003
I eliminated half the teams so had two conferences wi two divisions each of four teams
system will not let me add a wild card.

also, set to play 12...

I'm guessing its a small shop that can't keep up.
minor glitches requiring hours of work?

I'm also having tons of problems with 50s play and wild cards.

tried to rename (new cities) the teams in 1953 (minor league scenario). message came up about divisions and wild cards.

played a complete year as 1961 Steelers
after playoffs I went into League Editor. no Wild Card notice.
seems to be working now.

again the game locked in '64 playoffs, bracket was skewed.

went in to League Editor to move team
got a notice about needing wild card
at the end of the next season playoff bracket was messed up and...

trades are very very slow

modified game to 16 teams in 1971

will allow me to play one season, offseason, then draft. after draft instead of 'Free Agent' page it freezes. little...
