Nagin to citizens "Get out, or else."
According to Fox news channel, Mayor Nagin has told the people of New Orleans, who have stayed, "Get out or else.". In response the military has stated that they will not be forcing anyone to leave, but will continue to offer food and anything else they can, to the survivors who they find. They will also be taking anyone who wants to leave out but that is the extent of what they'll be doing there. The people that Fox News has talked to so far, say that they will have to be dragged out kicking and screaming. It has appearantly become the New Orleans police department's job to remove the citizens from their homes forcibly. The news babe that just reported this story says " It will be an interesting scene." :rolleyes:

Lol, I know. The woman who was reporting it, didn't resemble either Hitler or Napoleon so I think it's O.K.. :D

Update: Nagin states that staying is no longer an option. Police will begin forced "evacuations" today. I know all about the health issues involved, but if these people have made it this long and don't want to leave then they should be left the hel l alone. As long as they're not looting, raping, murdering, or squatting they should be allowed to stay as long as they can hold out.

I find this sad but also interesting. How should/will the military react to police/citizen standoffs? How will the NOPD handle resistance to the removal of the citizenry? Will the military stand by, become proactive, or reactive in all of this? How long before there is an armed conflict? Will the citizens of NO re-elect Mayor Nagin? (o.k. that was just stupid) I am also interested in how Nagin is going to handle/mishandle the negative press that he's sure to get from this action. I'm guessing that he'll have to leave the state after what he's done so far. If he doesn't I'm sure his life span will be greatly shortened by an irate citizen.

NOPD will not reveal to reporters where they are going to start the eviction process. This can only be bad. If they are that worried about camera presence what extent are they willing to go to to get the "job" done?

It is sad but they have to get those people out they can not survive in that city anymore, if people refuse to leave than leave them that is their right.

I think that they should just be left alone. As long as they don't interfere with anthing going on. Maybe they should just be given jobs on the cleanup crews? It would certainly keep them in the city and let them start getting back to a more normal system of living. They'll have a job to go to every day, and get to stay in their city.

Barrell of worms there though you hire one of these holdouts and they get sick what do you do? No hospital no grocery store. Bottom line is the city is dangerous chemicals, rotting organics etc... This will attrack animalls like rats and bugs like paracites basically unihabitable.

most of these people have water filters and plenty of food....if they leave they lose everything.....and also people with animals refuse to strand there pets......the feds nedd to fvck off and leave those people alone

N.O. police chief says that they'll get to the evacuations when they get to the evacuations. We are more interested in search and rescue right now. We have people that want to leave, we'll get them out first and deal with the others later. LMAO! I guess Nagin just ain't good at paying attention! Why is this festering A-HOLE still on tv? Maybe he's just the best train wreck going on at the present time? :rolleyes:

i've heard that the military is walking around with with the rifles unlocked and unloaded.....and are refusing to do police work.....Nagin is acting like the good cop to fema's bad cop.....the govenor is refusing to sign over the guard to the feds.......and nagin is calling for it........what a piece of uncle tom trash....he's just like step n fetchit chris tucker.....there people were dying and there fvckin grandstanding......i hope the black community points this out

LOL a water filter and a filtration system are two totally different things! I have seen on the evil news people living on bridges who will not leave, THEY ARE NOT LIVING IN THEIR HOUSE OR HAVE PETS! So we just letum live on a bridge and keep bringing thier dumb arses food and water?? No Fvucking way!
