This has required attention for a long time. But the top of the alphabet teams getting picked clean in expansion drafts. I had a heck of a team built still do well the the 18 or so that are left anyway. I got picked clean by the Angels and Senators in the 1960 Expansion draft.

i've read someone complain about this before, maybe it was you? but yeah, its the reason i havent even tried to start a historical game.

I got lucky in 1968 because by then the Braves were in Atlanta and my Baltimore team was no longer top on the alpha list so then Atlanta got ripped apart.
My '69 Red Sox minor leagues got raped in the later rounds of the draft the soulless b@stards even took Tony C. from my major league roster and my starting CF. I did go back and try to buy back what I could afford. I had my team set for about a decade through two drafts and existing players but got knocked back about five years. '69 was a four team expansion year.
