How about Boxing Mogul.
You are the Manager of a bunch of guys of different weight classes and degrees of skill/experience and you choose who they fight and where/when they train. You negotiate contracts with the fighter, promoter, gym, and all the other stuff. The only problem I could think of would be that interest in the sport isn't where it used to be.
Would anyone else play this?
that would be cool I've never really seen a boxing sim! However I would like to see basketball mogul, basketball is my next favorite sport to baseball.Quote:

I dunno about boxing, but Total Extreme Warfare is a pretty good sim that lets you own a wrestling federation or UFC-style promotion. They would be hard to compete with...
Does anyone know of a good basketball sim? I tried "Jump Shot Basketball" a while ago, but it's pretty horrible.

How about sports agent mogul. You scout and promote your guys and try to get them your deals to make you money but still attract new guys to want you to be their agent.
I would like to see the Baseball Mogul have an option to build a dream team or teams with players from any seasons. Then have the sim pick the remaining teams and players and see how your dream team does.

Yeah, dont forget Total Club Manager by our good friends at EA. Soccer would be far far far too complex for a Mogul version unless you stuck strictly with MLS or something.
Agent mogul sounds fun, kind of like Rockstar Tycoon where you took a band from a garage to the top. Who wants to be the next Scott Boras or David Sloane?
What about Government Mogul or Mayor Mogul? Take a small town and grow it. Recruit businesses (except Walmart) and encourage people to stay and raise families. Find the razor thin balance between raising taxes and having enough social services to keep your people happy. Just a wild thought from a power hungry guy lol
If you are to overhaul here are a few dynamics.
1. Leaders is always fun, I would love to see this expand. Longevity is breaking records, single season and career. For a team and for the league.
2. More control of positions. Babe ruth changed from a pitcher to a feilder. Would like to see this option return where a pitcher can hit and a fielder could pitch.
3. Control. I like to have control of every game sim at times. To have more sacrifice bunts and flies. call more steels, and set my reliever to save a game earlier so he gets more saves. To have the in game sim where you can have more control would be nice.
4. More control of rotations and relief pitchers. Having your setup middle and closer play more tight games, while the rest are there for blow out games. I have noticed saves from a number of other players and would like to see my relievers have a little more endurance from a day to day stand point, if you bring them in for 1 innning you could do that for 10 games straight if your an animal, type of situation.
i am sure that if we put this poll in the BMO league forums, that a complete overhaul for BMO would be #1.
most people from BMO never check the forums outside of there own leagues...

I cant believe so many people are talking about a basketball mogul. the market is so satuarated.
theres sooo many good college and pro basketball sim available with people who have as many years of experience with basketball sims as Clay as with baseball sim. greydogsoftware.com is a good example of a good basketball sim.
hockey, best I've heard was "GM Hockey" and thats about it... market is wide open. (I shouldn't say that since i am not a hockey fan at all) baseball only has OOTP and this game. football and soccer i neither know, nor care about it. then again a basketball sim engine is the easiest to build so it would be easy money for this company.
How about a Nascar mogul? Fastest growing major sport in america. You buy a number for the right to run a team, you hire a driver, crew chief, mechanics, sign sponsorships and engine deals, etc. Football mogul had 16 games plus 3 playoff games... Nascar has about 30-35 event per year. Lots of management involved. Today driver account for 30-40 percent of a team success... team owner has to build it all from scratch...maybe then attempt to build team #2... the two team help each other.... then a rivalry between the two team might become a problem. feedback from crew chief on development, etc. Market is wide open for this genre too and building the sim engine for it would probably be easy.
A network game similar to Hollywood mogul except you are the president of XYZ broadcasting and must make or buy shows, deal with actors, sign a sports deal with NFL, deal with sitcom stars ego, etc. so many things to do there also. Instead of 25 baseball players on your team, you have 25 tv shows on your schedule. Move the shows slots from 8:30 to 8:00 to capture the full ratings, change the writers... you compete for ratings and manage the budget that goes with it. low ratings will mean lower budget for the next season, etc.
just some ideas - basketball has been done some many times and there are sooo many good basketball sims on the market, i just dont undersand why people would want one more when they could have something unique.
I actually despise Nascar but think it might be fun to run a team. I don't know if the base for this game would be so great though bercause od the demographics of the sport.Quote:

We started creating NASCAR Mogul back around 1999 -- at the request of our publisher (Atari). Then they decided there wasn't a market. I think they're right. The NASCAR games (the last one I remember well was from EA) already have a ton of options for building a garage and tweaking your car.Quote:
