My picks might show how lightly versed i am on some teams, and most of the AL. Just wanted to get a little discussion going(and put something together for Vegas)

Mariners will win the AL West, Whitesox will win the AL Central, Yankees will win the AL East, Mets will win the NL East, Cardinals will win the NL Central, Padres will win the NL West.

It's good to see someone with the guts to challenge the status quo in the NL Central (and switching the Cubs and the Astros in the standings doesn't count). I'm obviously not objective about this, but the Reds improved more than any other team in that division, adding Eric Milton, Ramon Ortiz, Joe Randa, Rich Aurilia, Kent Mercker, Dave Weathers, and Ben Weber, while losing only Barry Larkin and Todd Jones. Not Murderers' Row, I'll admit, but short of a "King Ralph"-type situation, they won't have any more injuries than they had last year.

This team was in first place as late as June 10th, and was six games over .500 at the ASB, before Griffey and Kearns were lost for the season. The only players with career years last year were Adam Dunn, who will probably repeat it, and Ryan Freel, who hopefully won't get the opportunity to.

The Reds finished 13 games behind the Cubs and 16 games behind the Astros last year. They won't win the division, but I believe the two large-market teams in the Central may be looking over their shoulders quite a bit this year.
