Anyone using windows 98?

And I alerted Clay to the Win 98 problem THREE WEEKS ago, and if he didn't take Windows 98 off the "recommended" list, then they really DIDN'T listen to much beta-testing. Complain that people should upgrade all you want: if a company posts Windows 98 among accepted OS's, they have to be sure the game will work properly on that OS. I tested it on 98 and XP, and it did NOT work acceptably on 98. I don't know about 8.0 (the official "pay" release). But 7.76, the last one I tested on, did NOT have win 98 compatibility fixed.

We set up a Win98 machine here when we got problem reports during beta. We tested the game thoroughly on that machine and thought we fixed all the issues.

What's really weird is that some of the features that are messed up in Win98 according to the screen shots are features that I PROGRAMMED on a _Win95_ machine (e.g. the Lineup Dialog).

So I'm still confused, and still trying to figure out what's wrong.

Try changing the font sizes and/or screen resolution on your machine and let me know if that helps. I'll keep working on this end. And if you need a refund, send me your order info at:

Good luck on the hack free OS. Buy a Mac if you want that. And the only reason Microsoft gets hit a lot is not because Apple has found some magic way to keep it from happening, it's because Microsoft is in like 95% of the PC's out there.

Upgrading is the top thing you do in troubleshooting a problem. It's not BS it's troubleshooting 101. Old systems are called legacy systems for a reason. For your personal PC, stay with something for a while. In a business, it's suicide. You like flash memory sticks? Try using one in a 95 system. Your lucky if you have 98SE, you can download a driver. Or you can just continue to use your floppy disk.

I still have 7.76 and i dont know what settings to try to change that would make it work. Or where to change them for that matter. I tried changing the resolution size but it still did it. so i dont know.

Ha, no, actually i just signed up for the thing yesterday, all these questions are legit questions. The other topic "Pad" or whatever i just did it there cause nobody else there was doing anything productive in it so i figured why not join in with my link. And i put the link at the bottom in hopes someone will join and stuff. Some people advertise their webpages or whatever in their posts, too. If your gonna just "pad" your stats you might as well put some content anyways.

It's easy, just go to user cp at the top right then to edit profile. All you have to do then is paste it in.

I for one, appreciate the offer of a refund. However, as I mentioned in my earlier post, I also have a lap-top (running WinXPPro), so I will just confine my BBM gaming to that machine. It would not be right to request a refund, when I can play the game without this issue on another machine. I do hope that you are able to track down the problem, as I would enjoy being able to play the game on my desktop. Thanks,

Alright i gave in and installed XP on my laptop, probably a good thing in the long run but now i got a bunch compatibility issues and having to reinstall something and find drives, oh well. Baseball mogul now works fine for me. But i still hope that a problem can be resolved for anyone still using windows 98.

I'm NON-ENGLISH user, so we ARE NOT use english in Windows. ^^

But there is the same problem(Broken and missing in Pitcher List) in my WIN98.

And "Sans Serif" font is named by "MS Sans Serif", not "Microsoft Sans Serif" in most WIN98.

Maybe Clay knows 'bout the point(compile working).
