Now Giambi admits taking steroids that he got from Bonds' trainer. How can Barry honestly think people will believe him that he didn't touch the stuff. Sure thing Barry. Denying it only makes you look worse.
Its very obvious that Berry Bonds took steroids sometime.
was there EVER any dobut though? How many 40 year old guys do you know that are stronger and more muscular than they ever were in their prime?
To be honest with you I think its more likely that Barry Bonds did not take steriods.
How many 40+ year olds do you know that can do what he does period.....not any, but at least there are 40 year olds to compare him to.
How many 40+ year olds that you suspect of being on steriods are still in the sport? To me zippo.
They all break down in their mid-30's. So as bad as it looks based on what i've seen from who I consider to be suspected of using steriods. Bonds doesn't fit that mould. Where is his break down his little injuries that never seem to go away.....
Start with the 1 guy who's career is now over who we are sure to 100% he took steriods. Ken Caminiti. Look at him.
In the transcripts of the Grand Jury testamony, Giambi specifically states that he asked Anderson of Balco what gave Bonds his edge. Anderson told him what he gave to Bonds in steroidal and human body growth hormones in pills, injections and topical oinments. He then gave Giambi the same stuff. That is a smoking gun.
what happens now? is bonds no longerr mentioned in the same breath as Babe and Ted?
Yes, the steroid thing, no matter how good he has been keeps him from being mentioned in the top top players in history.
its obvious bonds and sheff took steriods. what bonds has done is impossible .
the question is what does mlb, goverment do now. If i was mlb i would give him a 2yr suspension and wip out his records for the past 5yrs. same with sheff and giambi. show these guys that they cant get away with this stuff. be proactive and stop other players from doing the same. or at least make them think twice.
plus suspensions from the hall of fame for all 3 lifetime ban !!

just try an imagine bonds trying to become a pitcher.
Babe made a major change in postions and dominated each like no other.
you can debate bonds possible having a better one season but not an overall carrear over Ruth .

Steroids or no, to deny Bonds his place in history would be wrong.
Case in point: admitted roid user Jeremy Giambi.
Look at all the wonderful things those growth hormones have done for him. Do we deny him his place in history also?
Jeremy Giambi (like Ozzie Canseco) would have been a minor leaguer for life without the roids. He wasn't a Bonds caliber player to begin with.
Letting Bonds keep his records would be unfair to guys who had a similar (or greater) level of talent compared to Barry. You'd be spitting in the face of guys like Aaron, Ruth, Willie Mays and Griffey Jr. (assuming they didn't juice and I'm not talking about the guy with the hairy eyebrows kind of juicing) whose records (and career numbers in the case of Junior) were eclipsed by a guy using an unfair advantage.
Example: I could not beat the US Women's swimming team even if I juiced but the Chinese Women's swimming team COULD beat them if they juiced and might not if they (the Chinese team) did not juice.
You have to compare apples to apples, or in your case ;) dark cola to dark cola (not dark cola to the clear stuff).

Admittedly, I am no expert on steroids and their effects on the human body. So seriously, what are the benefits that a ballplayer reaps from using them? One would think strength for sure but after reading this article (right out of Portland,Deke) I'm not even sure if that is a recognizable result of usage.
Does anyone know for sure the proven facts (not talking about the side effects) of steroid use in baseball players?
not baseball-specific but.....
--increase in muscle size and strength
--shorter recovery time
--increased fat burning
--increased energy levels during workouts
They do not lead to "faster bat speed" or a "better eye" but if you already have a quick bat and a good eye, you'll hammer the ball deeper with the increased strength.
To say that people like Bonds and Giambi should be banned for life for using steroids is the height of stupidity. It is honestly the dumbest thing I have ever heard of.

i would hate to see bonds be banned from the Hall.
But the sport must be protected. the Hall must stay true.

i dont agree with the the "arrangement" MLB has w/ the Players Association regarding the policy that players found w/ steriods in their body will result in a warning that will not be publicized for 1st and 2nd offense.
