Output and editing options in FM 2003

Hi,

I've just purchased and downloaded the 2003 version of FM, and so far I like it a lot. I've just got a few questions for anybody who'd care to help me out:

* I'm sure I'm just overlooking something, but aside from the game play-by-play files which save automatically, I can't figure out how to output things like standings, financial data, schedules, rosters, stats, box scores, scouting reports, and so forth to text files. Is there a way to do this?

* The edit player option lets you tweak the actual and predicted stats, but not the various player ratings categories like Accuracy, Distance, Control, Red Zone, Mobility, etc. Are these values computed based on the "predicted" stat, or is there otherwise some way to edit them?

* I know how to import .csv player files, but is there a way to ouput player files from a current game to .csv format?

I know I'm probably asking a lot of obvious questions, but I'm just stumped. If anyone can help me out here, I'd be very grateful.

Hey Mike,

Have two answers for ya.

# 1. The output's are kinda weak. On a weekly basis you get the play by plays and that's it. At the end of a season during the roll over for the next it outputs a few extra goodies like Awards (probowlers), Money (a bunch of little things) & a standings text. After the draft there should be a draft .txt file as well outlining round by round picks.

# 2. All the categories are set by the predicted stats. There are a few other things that help determine the numbers for different positions though. Weight, age & seasons played all can play a part with O linemen especially. Goof around and see what changes.

No idea on the CSV thingy. Was a beta tester so there was no need to buy the game with the way it went. Glad your enjoying it though. When you get done whopping on the CPU why not take on a few actual GM's? Go check out ICFM homepage. We use the old Mogul but yours may work. Download the file and take a look see.
