I am Arizona. Week one, play Washington. I examined the play-by-play for one game. I compiled stats for each player on both teams and compared them to the stats listed in the game and on the game recap screen. There are some discrepancies.
Game recap screen for Washington lists Kevin Lockett with “9 Rec. 85 Yards”. Going through the play-by-play file, I come up with the same. But player details shows 10 receptions for 90 yards.
Game recap screen for Washington lists Jacquez Green with 88 Total Yards. Going through the play-by-play file, I come up with the same, 86 receiving on 7 catches, and 2 rushing. But player details shows 8 receptions for 96 yards.
Game recap screen for Washington lists team Completion % at 62%. The quarterback completed 28 / 50 for 56%.
(Quarterback stats match play-by-play. No other player is listed in play-by-play as having thrown a pass, and no other player has any stats to indicate having thrown a pass.)
Game recap screen for Arizona lists Frank Sanders with “2 Rec. 24 Yards”, which matches the play-by-play file. But player details shows 3 receptions for 29 yards.
Game recap screen for Arizona lists team Completion % at 53%. The quarterback completed 17/33 for 51.5%.
Game recap screen list one more 3rd down situation for each team than is indicated in the play-by-play.
Arizona is given credit for 1 3rd down conversion. One of the 3rd down situations resulted in a TD. I’m not sure whether this should count as a successful conversion or not. If so, they should have 2 successful conversions for the game.
Play-by-play lists one kickoff return as “Jenkins returns kickoff to opponent's 46!” The return yardage is not given. The return is not counted in the player’s stats.
Punter’s averages for both teams are incorrect (relative to the play-by-play.)
I can send you the play-by-play and mog files if you wish.
