The Brewers must figure out if they are contenders or not. If you think you are a contender you cannot continue to waste a roster spot on Wang. Give him back to Pitt if you think you can make the playoffs it is obvious he is not MLB ready.

When did AOW become AOL?? That hasn't been my Internet provider for like 20 years
Why are you guys wasting your time on Stanton? Big Sexy Rizzo is where it's at!!
Best record in baseball
Dallas Keuchel! Wow. What a performance on the mlb.tv free game of the day.
I laugh at people who drafted Bruce Harper in the first or second round, then left Nelson Cruz sitting there in the 5th and 6th...and 10th...and 15th...
I have him in 2 of my 3 leagues, everyone was down on him because...he took a long time to sign, I guess?? Or the pEDs.
Wie if you could do it over would you still pick Stanton over Cruz?
I got Cruz in the SIXTEENTH ROuNd in our league
Holy rusted metal
In my other league it was 13th...still, the number 5 fantasy hitter went for peanuts while goobers gobbled up Harper and - for some reason - Andrelton Simmons?!? - ahead of him.
Wooooooow
Well heading into the season Harper would be a much better bet than Cruz, Cruz was not expected to OPS almost 1.000 and Harper wasn't supposed to miss half a year, you can't simply look at these things in hindsight.
Both leagues I play in use OBP so I always avoid a player like Simmons.(Also one of the reasons I was so high on Dozier!)
Harper has always been a tough guy to draft. The potential is enormous. In his rookie year he put up numbers that NOBODY at his age ever put up before. He has prolly more upside than anyone in MLB. But his aggressive style of play leads to injury and I'm not sure the power numbers will ever be there for him to be fantasy elite. I don't think he is a 1st but I can't fault someone for taking him in the 2nd based on the upside. If he had made it to my 3rd in any of my drafts I would have snatched him up.
Donaldson and Moss powering my offense today. Geez between the Rockies dominating and the As doing so well, Rage and OD should have like, some grand-loser party. As and Rox in the WS? OD and Rage can meet and hug away their loser pasts.
Anyone notice the amazing 2B offense this season? Even if you take away the top 3 - Cano (no power anyway), Pedroia and Kipnis (DL), the 2B talent is amazing. Dozier, Kinsler, Neil Walker...I have ALL THREE in one league, and I can't figure out who to bench. I have Daniel Murphy in another league - the dude hits and steals, and the occasional homer helps too...I picked up Bonifacio in one league, too, and the guy is doing well enough to be an occasional asset. Then there's other mainstays like Utley...guys that just took off like Dee Gordon, leading the league in SBs...Jose Altuve with the avg/SB combo...and that's before you even scrape the next level of guys like Matt Carpenter, Anthony Rendon, and the out of nowhere Solarte.
That's 12-14 starting-caliber fantasy 2Bs...not one of my leagues has over 11 teams.
THEN there's Aaron Hill, Brandon Phillips, Dietrich on the Marlins, Dustin Ackley, Jed Lowrie...I mean those are guys that are offensive assets on a fantasy team, or could be. Phillips is highly owned and has a good avg.
That just seems...remarkably deep. I would usually start a draft by trying to fill the tough offense spots like SS/2B/C, but this season 2B is easy as pie, at least two months in.
Wow!! A win for the ages!! I was about to come on here and curse out AOL... It would have been back to back blown 5 run leads at the same time he started preaching about Nelson Cruz. But my boy, the pride of Michoacan, Yovani saves the ****ing day!
When was the last time you saw the next day starting pitchers for both teams pitch hit in the same game?!
Not the best record in baseball
I will be glad when Nelson Cruz leaves town...
Blue Jays fever, baby. Catch it.
RIP Tony Gwynn

I'm not one to think the brewers would do anything right, but this is hilariously awesome

That is hilarious, but it unfortunately ignores that Molina is, in fact, the best catcher in baseball. And even if he wasn't, there are other catchers in the NL I'd vote for ahead of Lucroy.
Sports Illustrated had a good article on the A's, focusing on clubhouse culture and Moss/Donaldson as a new bash bros. They also had a touching tribute to Tony Gwynn.
then 50 pages of ads and stuff i didnt read. But hey, a good 8 minutes of content there.
Yeah DPS is nuts. What you going to do? There is always a hater in the bunch!Lucroy has been BY FAR the best catcher in any league this year. He could go on a huge slump between now and the All-Star game and would be still have better stats than any catcher in baseball.
And WAR doesn't even factor in pitch framing, something Lucroy is one of the very best at in baseball.

K/BB Ratio: 48/1 is almost 40 ip thus far. Been just dominating.
Doolittle was a pretty good 1B in an old BM league where I was the A's.
Doolittle: closer, converted 1B/OF
Moss: 1B, converted OF
Donaldson: 3B, converted catcher
I think Billy Beane is abusing the BM engine for player position changes
There is a difference between having the best stats this year and being the best player. Lucroy has been better through the first half of this season. Molina is the better player.
If I were personally in charge of selecting All Stars, I would pick teams just by this year's stats, as that's my personal preference, but there are a lot of people with the belief that the All Star game should focus on the actual best players, and not just based on 3 months of stats, and that's a perfectly valid opinion to have.
Agreed with the second part, however Lucroy is closer to Molina than you think, and it's been more than 3 months.

hey, a big trade just happened....and this forum used to have a lot of semi-intelligent discussion around such things... sad face
Moss and Donaldson were featured in a nice SI article...of course, right as it hits the shelves those two kind of slump. I love the league where I have both on my fantasy team tho!
Samardzija and Hammel now in that rotation...certainly looks playoff bound. Rage? thoughts?
