Taking a "wait and see" position
Well after the disaster of BM 2014, probably best to wait and see if it's even worth the reduced price of $24. The football field reminds me of the Avalon Hill game "Football Strategy". It looked ok in the 80's but not for 2014.

Me too. I have bought the game the last three years and the year over year changes are way to few and far between. There are some issues that continue to plague the series and the "new" features each year don't significantly change the game for the way I play (only the current season forward). Hopefully some of those have been fixed but the interface is still the same after all these years, the commentary is stale with many of the same commentary errors that have plagued the series, and the stats have always been suspect. I really hope this is the year where I can play for a few seasons and enjoy the experience. I'll wait until I hear from others to see how this year's game holds up.
Re: Taking a "wait and see" postion
Not much to add, except ditto
Re: Taking a "wait and see" postion
Did anyone buy the game and is using it? There have been no posts on roster errors or anything! Did the game come out glitch free?
Re: Taking a "wait and see" postion
This feature addition interests me:
Accurate scheduling algorithm for all future seasons (2014 and beyond):
I did not enjoy the schedule errors when you went beyond the current season.

I think a lot of people have just given up on it and aren't even going to bother. It's the same thing every year with a new release of Football Mogul... It gets released with problems that need patched, a couple of patches are released that create new problems, and then the developer just abandons the game and we don't hear from him again until next year's version is released.
I would be very surprised if a demo gets released for this version.

That is kind of what I was thinking. FM13 was a mess. But Clay had help this year. Later this week I will buy this version because of the Accurate scheduling algorithm for all future seasons (2014 and beyond). I will see if this has improved.

Let us know what you think. :) I'm on the fence myself.

Bad sign when the vocal few/only fans of the series aren't buying it and instead waiting to see if it's as bad as the past few iterations. Count me among y'all. Then again, I'm pretty sure he does offer a full money-back guarantee if you're disappointed? Can't really go wrong.

Yeah... http://www.sportsmogul.com/corp/guarantee.html
I'll make the leap later today.
Re: Taking a "wait and see" postion
Week 3 of PbP 2013 season as Redskins... I punt on my first drive and MATTHEW STAFFORD RETURNS IT FOR A TD. :sigh: UNGH. Even on my own team, it doesn't seem like it auto-selects my best returners, but Stafford? Really?
Re: Taking a "wait and see" postion
And clicking players in the game view stills brings up different players a good portion of the time.

Yeah I've just posted a bug report - Peyton Manning and Tony Romo catching on punt returns????

Good luck getting any kind of response at all.
There must be absolutely no beta testing at all with this series for problems this obvious to be released.
