OFFICIAL 2013 Fantasy Baseball Thread

Haven't seen one of these around so I'd thought I'd start one

Had my first draft yesterday. 16 teams, 30 players keeper draft. That was fun and hard. Got another one tonight

I like the future of the team and there are some nice value picks here and there (Castro/Luebke/Harper/Sale), but overall I just plain don't love that draft in a 30 player keeper league. It feels waaaay too heavily focused on prospects. I'm also wondering if this is a 2 catcher league or not. If it's not I question having 4 catchers on the roster. Overall though, not terrible I just feel like you're punting this year which I consider a mistake.

The draft went on a prospect run early in the draft so everyone ended up getting lots of prospects. And it's only a 1 catcher league but I ended up trading Castro for Tillman to thin it out a bit. Plus I'll probably trade d'Arnaud or Zunino if I'm in it by the trade deadline.

Didn't start Ryu last night, I was afraid of the LAA offense...the one that cobbled together two hits in 9 innings. Jeeeesus

Meanwhile the other guys in the league that have asian starters like Yu Darvish and Iwakuma are raking the wins and Ks.

Also: Jean Segura went 6 for 7. Is this guy not human or what?? When I lost Jose Reyes to injury I thought it was the end of two teams...instead one picked up Everth Cabrera and one got Segura, and I may be better off for it. Crazy.

Nice. I got Cabrera for a buck in an auction. He's been my starting SS. In my 12 team league I'm hurting at 2B The news on Kinsler was a big blow & now I need to find a replacement better than Weeks who has been killing me. I'm trying to trade but even marginal talent at 2B like Da. Murphy is hard to get. 2B is way thin!

Gosh darn it! Tommy Hanson has the quality start locked but of course they send him out for the 7th and he gets rocked. There goes the QS! Damn I hate that!

that was my thoughts. I made the deal prior to posting in here and many in the league mocked me for dealing Davis. I thought I made out, even if Hanley doesn't work out.

i would totally deal high on Davis. good trade imo.

i gave up on RA Dickey and dropped him in 1 league...wonder if i should dump him in the other as well. If you can't last against the white sox, what good are you. ugh

I was never gonna start Cespedes and I thought Reyes will play better the rest of the way than Franklin. Win-win I guess. Plus I need prop all you guys up. It isn't fun when you're 25 points above everyone.
