The team went 0-16 in conference play his first season and four years later he built a team that got an 11 seed in the national tournament. It's unsure what could have happened had he stayed but the team is 16-4 this year and walking into the tourney if they don't fall apart.
Tim built a team capable of winning against New Mexico and UNLV and SDSU, teams that have played deep into the tourney. It's incredible what he did and maybe I'm biased since I watched it grow as a student but just because he didn't leave CSU with an elite mid major status doesn't mean he's not a good coach like you insinuated in the first post
