If you didn't watch MSU/Indiana today I feel sorry for you. That was a phenomenal game all around.

Big Ten basketball usually sucks but now it's the best thing ever and I'm not sure how that happened.
Re: There's no college basketball thread?
It's cyclical, but Izzo, Beilein, Crean, and Matta are all lights out recruiters and excellent coaches, and Bo Ryan and Tubby Smith are excellent there as well, although it's a lot harder to recruit to Wisconsin and Minnesota. Honestly, I would say that outside of Nebraska and Penn St., the Big Ten has some pretty good coaching staffs. But, like i said, it is cyclical, so I wouldn't be surprised if in a few seasons, it swings back to the ACC or another conference as the premiere basketball conference.

Nebraska has Tim Miles who is the entire reason Colorado State even has a relevant basketball program.

True, he did turn around CSU. But he only made it to the Big Dance once there, before bolting to Nebraska. Someday he might be considered a good coach in the Big Ten, but he has a lot of work to do to get there. If CSU had resembled a Butler or Gonzaga caliber school when he left, I'd include him in that group, but since this is his first foray into a big boy conference, we'll have to wait and see.

Well he was there for what, five years? And it's his team this year that is contending for a conference championship in one of the toughest conferences in the country. He's spent half a year in the Big Ten I'd rather not judge him and say he's not a good coach or "has something to prove".
I don't think it's fair to Tim to judge CSU on the elite mid major level of Butler and Gonzaga. The team went 0-16 in conference play his first season and four years later he built a team that got an 11 seed in the national tournament. It's unsure what could have happened had he stayed but the team is 16-4 this year and walking into the tourney if they don't fall apart.
Tim built a team capable of winning against New Mexico and UNLV and SDSU, teams that have played deep into the tourney. It's incredible what he did and maybe I'm biased since I watched it grow as a student but just because he didn't leave CSU with an elite mid major status doesn't mean he's not a good coach like you insinuated in the first post

Oh don't worry, I've expressed that opinion to the Butler fan base plenty of times.

Butler isn't my favorite, I failed at rustlin. I don't really have a favorite because I don't keep up with it anymore.
