Lol! Really? You have haven't been around baseball fans then! Or you're lying! Everybody knows baseball fans are the most defensive an anal fans there are. With all the stats an such. Far more easier to troll than soccer fans. That's not necessarily a bad thing either but it s a fact!

Only on message boards do you guys get anal. IRL, where things matter, I have soccer fans ask me if I like it, and I tell them no, and they're like ok. End of story.
Only ridiculous people get so offended if you don't like a sport. Work and Live with grownups and nobody gets mad about it.

Yah man, I can't really agree that baseball fans get all hot n bothered about their sport. After 31 years of listening to the George Carlin routine, seeing football take center stage in American culture, and constantly hearing baseball slighted as too slow, too long, too many games, too many pudge-bellied players - in order to be a baseball fan you have to have something of a thick skin about it. I appreciate it for what it is - half sport, half art form, in my opinion.
Soccer fans don't have to have any such thing...heck in what, 2/3rds of the world, its the biggest sport by several orders of magnitude. Baseball has always had to put up with football and basketball...soccer is kind of a universal planetary phenomenon that unites more than anything else. A few countries might favor cricket, some individuals maybe tennis or rugby - but by and large, soccer owns the planet.
Having visited 10 or so other countries, I think you are more likely to get the 'ignorant buffoon' label for not knowing soccer intimately than any other sport. From the championship team in Barcelona, to pretty much all of South America, soccer is dominant, and if you can't grasp the tension or sit through a game you get the head-shake theatrics. And not like, hey, let me explain it to you - but the blatant disgust, how dare you enjoy tennis or baseball over this, our country's sport! Like its either in your blood or not.
I even have a coworker whose son is a soccer star in new england, and when he goes to south america to play, even HE gets sh*t about not being into soccer enough. The kid's got a soccer scholarship! top 100 freshman player in new england. You can't just have it be your main sport even - it has to be BLOOD man!!!! You have to want to riot and burn sh*t over how some guy kicked a ball! aaargh!
I know the US is, by and large, ignorant masses about soccer and a billion other things. It's underappreciated in our borders, fine. But some of the attitude is just above and beyond the level of acceptable BS.

I liked Green Street Hooligans. Those guys however certainly don't take their fandom too seriously. I guess the part I liked the best was the lack of actual soccer being played during it ;)

Soccer has a problem in pretentiousness I know that I'm a new fan and even I get annoyed with how over the top some fans can be in just straight up saying you're stupid if you don't like it.
I'm just in the camp that if the US was elite at it more people would be on board.

I think the Spurs are a worse version of Indiana, if anything. Both aren't really that similar. One team is extremely physical (Indiana), and the other isn't.

Wat no. They both play slow interior based ball with a focus on a center but Duncan>Hibbert. The Paces are more physical but that's not the only thing they do. The Spurs also have better guard play which can **** the Heat up if they play half court. The only thing the Pacers do better than SA is d up LBJ physically but that doesn't work does it. You have to just force a pass or force him into uncomfortable jumpers. SA does that better.

Totally disagree, but ok. Indiana made James and Co. way, way, more uncomfy than San Antonio has done. Miami is getting basically any shot they want against San Antonio.

Disagree LBJ had no problem scoring vs Pacers really. Was only reason they won. This series he's been forced to facilitate a lot more AND actually had a bad shooting night which considering the year he's having FG% wise is crazy. Pacers got blown out what 3 times? Don't see why everyone's on indys wang really physical play only ****ed up Wade and Bosh barely messed with James
