Thought I'd post a few tips on coping with some of Baseball Mogul's annoying quirks:
(1) Before you start simming a new season, check who's scheduled to pitch next in the Pitcher dialog. This isn't automatically set to your #1 guy after spring training.
(2) When you trade a player on your active roster or swap one to the minors, it routinely scrambles all your lineups. The trick is to make sure the player being swapped out is in exactly the same bench position in all lineups. Say you swap him out of your vs. RHP/no DH lineup. Move him to, say, the top of the bench, then check each of the other lineups and make sure he's in exactly the same spot. Then you can swap him to the minors with no side effects.
(3) Before trading a player, put him in the minors, as in #2.
(4) Before adjusting your flexible rosters (say switching from 14/11 to 13 position players and 12 pitchers), make sure the bench player to be eliminated occupies the bottom spot on all rosters. This usually isn't a problem when adding a position player, just when subtracting.
(5) If you play historically, Mogul adds interleague play when the DH is added. Someone should confim this on 15.00 and post a bug. I killed the DH when it alerted me (1973 season) but was startled to find interleague play partway through the season, so in my current universe it was a 1-year experiment.
