tOfficial Sports Mogul Bush League thread

Official Rules
(all super official up in here)

10 team H2H league. Categories are the basic 5x5 plus OBP, SLG, HLD, & K/BB.

Prospects
Any player without 50 career AB or 25 career IP is considered a prospect, and may be called up by the owner who has his team. For instance, if you selected the Nationals as your Tier A team, then you could "promote" Bryce Harper to your team any time you wanted by simply adding him from Free Agency before he accumulated 50 career ABs. However, if you don't call him up by the time he hits 50 career ABs, then he will be fair game to all other teams and you will likely be laughed at because of it. There will be 2 Tier A teams & 8 Tier B teams who will not be selected in the Team Draft & prospects for those teams will be fair game at all times for all teams.

Teams may trade prospects freely up until they lose prospect status. Trades will be recorded here.

Roster Rules
You will HAVE to keep at least 6 players from your A Team & at least 5 players from your B Team on your roster AT ALL TIMES. If you select the Red Sox as your team pick Youk as one of your starting players & then trade him, you must either have another Boston player coming back via the trade, or you must be adding another Boston player via free agency. If you dip below the mandatory 6 & 5 from each team, then the first time you'll simply be laughed at and warned. The next time, you'll be awarded a loss in your H2H meeting for that week. You must meet the 6/5 limit at the beginning of the week in order to receive credit for that week.

Keepers
At the end of the year, you guessed it, you must select 6 players from your A Team & 5 players from your B Team to keep from each of your two teams (they don't have to be the same players you selected to start the season with). However, to keep things interesting, you can also select any 2 players from your roster to keep who aren't affiliated with your 2 Teams. This is to try to promote trading & acute use of the waiver wire. Then, the following year, all non-kept players will be available to be selected via a draft.

Draft
Trading draft picks is allowed. However, as there are 2 roster spots and 13 keepers, no draft pick beyond the 16th round can be traded. Draft order will be the reverse of the previous year's overall record for every round (no snaking).

It was a lot closer matchup than the 10-3 final score would make you think. Gordie never really had a chance against my pitching, but his hitting was my equal but I managed to squeak it out.

It was pretty close for most of the week, but the last day or two I just fell back. Looking forward to the rematch.
