I was present at his HOF induction in 2003. A true class act.
One of my biggest childhood hero's.
In 1989 I sent a baseball card to Will Clark, Roger Clemens and Gary Carter requesting an autograph. Gary Carter signed mine and sent it back and I never even received my card from the other two. Since then he became one of my favorite players of all time. Sad to see him go.
