Big grand slam for JPA again. Is it me or do the Jays win every series opener?

I'm just happy knowing that Rage will be joyful if the Heat win, he will still have to live with the fact that he is
stuck with Fuentes

Wells, because he avoids blowing the game by pitching a fastball right across the plate to A-Rod

I guess considering this it's like asking do you want to get kicked in the balls or punched in the balls.

I don't know if Cousins broke a rule, or was malicious, or deserving of suspension, but get over it dude. Talking about Cousins like he's obscure so that somehow makes it worse, like if Hanley Ramirez did it, it'd all be cool. He wasn't trying to break his ankle and he doesn't want Posey out for the season. Injuries happen, and they suck, especially when they happen to good
Speaking of rule breaking, I don't remember O'Dowd, Towers, DePodesta, or any of the other GMs complaining in the press about games they lost when Sabean paraded his roided freak up and down the west coast.
There was nothing wrong with the play at all, other than the end result, which came because the Giants rushed their star catcher to the big leagues without teaching him the finer points of blocking the plate. You never, ever, ever try to block the plate while sitting on your knees. You're just asking for a catastrophic injury. Sabean would do well to remember that as he's pointing the finger of blame at Cousins, he's got three of his own fingers pointed right back at him. Idiot. I'm tired of hearing about this. You f***ed up. Deal with it and quit your bellyaching, whining and whinging. F***ing pathetic.

Re: * * Official 2011 MLB Discussion Thread * *
more Saturday stupidity from Mcarver and Buck....
Mcarver points out that in the bottom of the 6th with two out, one one and Pujols at the plate in a 4-2 game, that the Cubs need to look to have more than just Marshall in the Bullpen and
'should think about bringing in Marmol as this is as close to a save situation as you can get'
I was surprised that he would say something that seemed to make so much sense, but lo and behold Buck saved the day by pointing out a minute later
"now you not saying that the Cubs should acutually bring in Marmol now" to which Mcarver followed:
"No, of course not but I wouldn't mind id they brought Woods in, but hes the 7th inning guy"

Re: * * Official 2011 MLB Discussion Thread * *
Sad thing is, even with McCarvers idiocy, he would still be a better manager than Bob ****ing Geren.

Re: * * Official 2011 MLB Discussion Thread * *
Well this certainly isn't the most broken rule of all time. Next guy up hit into a double play too.

Re: * * Official 2011 MLB Discussion Thread * *
Uh oh, Tulo accidentally elbows Huff in the face at first. Now be on the look out for Sabean to request a rule making everyone slide into 1B

I love arguing with people over the Internet over which players are better than others. One guy I was arguing with was saying that Joey Votto's season doesn't compare to Matt Kemp's.

So, the next time we hear about a player getting arrested for DUI, maybe we'll wait to crucify him until we see the police dash cam, right Derek?

most of us would be huge hypocrites if we criticize someone for a DUI without knowing more...as most of us have probably driven after a couple drinks where "legally" we may have been ruled under the influence but were never stopped.
I don't crucify anyone personally when i see they got a DUI, but if I were an employer it would factor significantly into my decision to hire them to drive. Its just how it is, statistically someone with a DUI is far more likely to be involved in an automobile accident or get another DUI. So in that sense, yes I'd crucify them.
BTW, i find it interesting the other driver wasn't ticketed.

I guess I'd be one of the few non-hypocrites.

i wouldn't go that far....but in this instance you may be correct;)
i doubt it's a majority of the driving age public, but certainly a large percentage if not a majority have drank and drove and may very well have been at or over the legal limit. thats the point. no reason (for most) to look at someone with a DUI and judge them w/o judging yourself in the same manner.

Mariners!!! 2.5 games behind West and WC with Ackley coming up soon.
Figgins needs to go. Maybe we can trade him to the Mets for Bobby Bonilla's buyout.
