They're really going downhill, aren't they? Now they've started with those music "experiments" between plays that is really too irritating for words. It's ridiculous. Shame on you, Rupert Murdoch.

Aren't those the same things?
I still don't buy it. The Jets played and coached flat-out horribly in that game. Given the Patriots did play well, but the Jets played one of their worst games of the season. And the Bears have gotten a lot of good luck this season. I don't think they're as good as their record indicates.
I think that's your anti-Patriot beliefs system talking, YD. The Pats are the favorites in the AFC. Home field all but locked up, the team is unbeatable at home. Also, Pats 10-0 in snow games in the Brady era. New England gets a lot of snow in January.
I wouldn't be shocked to see a Super Bowl 39 rematch. Overall, I don't see any teams having what it takes to beat New England.
Pittsburgh, maybe. But I've yet to be impressed with their offense in any capacity.
Either way lol.
I'm not saying the Patriots are a bad team, or even that they're not the AFC favorites. Just that they're not this uber dominant team they're being made out to be. They are beatable. And all it takes once you hit the playoffs is one bad game. And that young defense could get exposed in the playoffs if they play an experienced QB (ie not Sanchez or Cutler).
Brett Favre start streak over.
Experienced QB such as....? Certainly your not so biased to say Matty Ice is "experienced".
Peyton Manning sure didn't play well against them. Ben Roethlisberger didn't.
I'm more interested to see what happens to the Pats when they run into an explosive run team. The Browns showed them up with that. If the Eagles or Falcons can establish the run early in a possible Super Bowl, that will cause problems.
Peyton Manning never plays well against the Patriots. And Big Ben is massively overrated. I think if the Chargers get into the playoffs that Philip Rivers will have a good game. Peyton Manning could have a good game with a second shot at them. And no, I was not calling Matty Ice experienced, but if they met in the Superbowl I would like the Falcons chances due to the mass of offensive weapons around Matty Ice, and the fact that he doesn't turn the ball over (something the Patriots prey on).
I'm just saying, don't anoint them yet. There's still a lot of football left on the schedule.
Big Ben can escape really well but he's overrated
/Steelers fan
but not saying he can destroy Pats' D second time around, because he can
Big Ben's overrated when it comes to people saying he's an elite QB.
But he's still a good quarterback
QBs I would take over Roethlisberger:
1. Peyton
2. Brady
3. Brees
4. Rivers
5. Rodgers
This is where I draw the line at elite then...
6. Ryan
7. Schaub
8. Vick
9. Romo
10. Flacco
If championships alone is how you judge QBs then you have a very misconstrued way of judging quarterbacks
Trent Dilfer>Dan Marino?
What a game, Texans battled hard to save their season. Andre Johnson is the best wideout in football right now. Dudes a beast. Schaub and the offense lead a 21 point comeback but lost. Excellent comeback team, just can't win. Tough way to end it on a pick six after all that Schaub did.
What a horrible way to lose the game. It looked like even the Ravens felt bad for the way they lost.
I don't judge individuals for team accomplishments, but that's just me I suppose. :)
Agreed I just think people use championships to defend putting players in higher places than they deserve (such with the case of Big Ben).
Fact is, I personally don't think Ben is a top 10 QB in the NFL. Do I think he's bad? No. I think he's incredibly elusive, doesn't make a lot of mistakes, and puts his team in a position to win, but so is Kyle Orton on the last two and so is Vince Young on the first one so those aren't exactly elite qualities in a QB. They are good qualities for a QB to have but to say Ben Roethlisberger is elite just cause he wears two rings isn't that great of an argument, imho.
It's a quick argument. There other reasons why, including those you mentioned. If I knew everyone was in agreement he is overrated I would take the time to provide a counter argument in more detail. But he is a Steelers player so I really don't feel like defending him that much.
OK, I will, and I can't stand the goddamned Steelers.
He's got one hell of an arm, he's elusive as a squirrel covered in vaseline, and while I don't think he's particularly bright (keep him away from SEC coeds), he shows fantastic pocket presence, he makes great reads and he is tough as a two-dollar steak. Does he force the ball sometimes? Yes, absolutely. He reminds me of John Elway at similar stages in their careers, except he plays on a FAR better team.
Ben's better than Matty Ice, Romo, and Schaub
Says the Steelers fan...
Because you know, I will totally defend Big Ben just because I'm a Steelers fan
Peyton, Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Rivers, Vick, Ben, Matty, Romo, Schaub my top 10 in order
I think Matty, Vick, and Schaub are better than Ben. I would also put Flacco in there which I listed earlier, though I'm on the fence with him. I had Orton there until about 3 weeks ago.
I would put Ryan ahead of Romo..
I would as well (and did)
