100% an issue on your part. Things such as security programs, settings in your browser of choice, and other stuff of this nature are the cause. You're being asked to login again because the cookie is not being saved properly.
Details on your OS and browser could help resolve this problem.

Obliged. I shall investigate.
Re: knocked off the board
Maybe you should try another route into these forums, Butch.
Before I access them, first I bring a BM game onscreen("Resumed" or "New", it doesn't matter). Then I click on its Help/Online forums.
After which, I can flit in and out of the forums, never having to log in or anything.
Hope this helps
Re: knocked off the board
Thank-you for the advice, Rongar. Unfortunately, finances preclude me from having the internet at home where I play so I'll have to try and figure it out by what cfeedback has mentioned. So far I haven't had much luck so I guess I'm not the detective I thought I was which is strange considering I've read all the Hardy Boys including the "Detective Handbook". Guess I'm due for a re-read.:D
To be honest I was hoping it would be a simple fix so if it turns out to be too complicated I will just suck it up. After all if I really want to post I'll do what it takes.

IE6 SP3 with an XP Professional SP3 OS. No choice here. I have to use what I am provided with.

Go to Tools > Internet Options and go to the Privacy tab. What security level is it set to?

From the sounds of it, he's using a work computer it seems, where he has no choice over what he can use.

Even better. He can show his higher-ups how much better firefox and chrome are and then get the credit from them after they inevitably switch. I see a promotion in Butch's future

Accept all Cookies. I had already checked that out from cfeedback's post but since it was already at the least secure setting I figured I had hit a dead end.

Hm... beats me, then. Have you tried googling to see if anybody else has experienced similar issues?

I wish! Due to client websites that I need to access we are very limited in this area. Most had set up their websites years ago and are not always willing to invest the $$$ to upgrade, even for improved security.

Not yet but shall. As mentioned above, I could of sworn I'd seen posts regarding this issue. You know just for these last few posts I've had to log in each time.
And just had to again.
Re: knocked off the board
I found this thread on a quick search. Not sure if anything there will help... I have to run right now though. I'll try and search some more later on.

No worries, HGM. I appreciate the help you've done. BTW, I hope you and etothep don't hurt your necks talking around me.:p

THAT was the one! I see it doesn't offer any resolutions though. That's what I wanted to reread it for. Oh, well.:(
Re: knocked off the board
It's possible your AV program may restrict cookies as well. Check that out if your work allows you to.

Sorry, I'm usual pretty good with acronyms but I'm drawing a blank on AV program? Could you "baby-talk" me?

Antivirus. Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, etc.
Re: knocked off the board
Of course! I believe the correct expression for this is I bad. You are correct about playing with this. I don't think work would actually mind but I prefer not to mess with this type of thing just in case something went wrong. Next time our tech guy is around I will quiz him on it. Thanks for the lead and for taking the time to provide it.
Re: knocked off the board
If you only you applied this much effort into actually working...
;)
