Official Sabermetrics Thread
Bill Simmons has a great column mocking people who still rely on (only) basic statistics (batting average, home runs, RBI, etc.) and why you should at least familiarize yourself with the advanced metrics available and what they mean (even if you don't understand how they're calculated). And it's Bill Simmons, so he presents it in an easy enough way that only Bill Simmons can.

We shall see this year. I held 1st place in the 2nd half league for most of the season. It was also my first year of FBB, so I can only get better.

Exactly, according to the USUK%, you should have finished in 7th place out of 6 teams, ragecage. Apparently, yamiviet should have won, and he wasn't even in the league.

I know, you're a busy man, just like me all the sudden. Almost 60 hours logged in this week. 1st time I worked over 50 in almost a year. Hope it keeps going.
