Re: How many Games do you attend on average, each year?
When I lived in stl, and was working downtown, going to a cardinals game beat dealing with rush hour traffic to get back home.
Just would get the cheap tix and walk around the stadium with a few biddies who lived downtown.
that or dates...or if friends would come in town, just always went a cardinals game.

I always bought the "Cheap Seats" at the Metrodome. To me, it was the best view in the entire place, and you could sit almost anywhere in the Upper Deck. Needless to say, people are a little more into the game up there than if I would have sat on the lower level.

fully agree!
I don't think I have ever spent more than 30 bucks a ticket for a big league game in my life (aside from like Wrigley)
But I haven't been to New York, and my dad has always provided the playoff tickets to those games I have gone to.

Me neither, I don't think. The higher a ticket price is, or that section of the ballpark, the less fun it tends to be.

Re: How many Games do you attend on average, each year?
I aim for one a month with my kids, and usually actionjackson and/or my parents if they are in town. With the almost 2 hours driving each way, it makes for a long day for the kids (both under 3 years old) - I'd probably go to more if I lived in Toronto.
If my parents go, they pay for lower level seats, if not I can't be bothered to spend more than the $9 for the upper deck. With kids, there is no guarantee you are going to spend much of the game actually in your seat, so why pay for it. We do sometimes show up a little early and go down to batting practice. Last year my son got his hat signed by Jesse Litsch - which was good until he went on the DL two days later.

unless you're one of the very very fortunate ones to win the ticket lotto the day they go on sale, you can't even get bleacher seats at Fenway for under 30 bucks a seat as they are resales. I don't even bother anymore trying to win that lotto for face value tickets. Wasted too many days trying so in years past.

A couple a year, when someone I know offers tickets they're selling, or just can't use. I don't kill myself trying to get them on my own. We put our energy into hitting the handful of minor league teams that are within road-trip range. Need to finally get to a Cape Cod League game or two, this year.

I didn't know you and AJ were real life friends.
Cool, wondering how many other posters on here have other real life friends that frequent the board.
I live 90 minutes from Busch Stadium, I understand how ya feel.

That's because it's Boston....
Your big market areas, 30 dollar tickets aren't an option.
Re: How many Games do you attend on average, each year?
1 - Too much of a social-phobe to put up with many more a year.
Re: How many Games do you attend on average, each year?
9-12ish seems about right usually.
This year will probably be a bit less.

Cousins actually. We hadn't seen each other in a few years (lived at opposite ends of the country for a long time) when I saw him start posting on here. He gave just enough details for me to figure out who he was - and then got back in touch through Mogul messaging.

When you're taking Kaden, timing is everything. I've found that, for me, leaving extra early is good, and the kids tend to sleep on the way in, and sometimes on the way back as well. When my son was 3 1/2 months old, he went to his first game (a minor league game because of where we were living). That was fun for me - he slept through most of it. Since then, games are a little more work as he sleeps less, but they are also a lot more fun. One piece of advice if you're going to day games - figure out which seats are in the shade and try and get those. Kids that young won't usually be happy in the sun for 3 hours.
Re: How many Games do you attend on average, each year?
i usually get over 13. I have a 17 game plan for the phillies + playoff games. Then i live about 10mins from the stadium so i go to a couple more. Last year i went to 15 games from my plan 1 NLDS, 2NLCS and a world series games. I also went two other games. so i went to about 21 games.
Re: How many Games do you attend on average, each year?
That would be 0, thanks in large part to geography and a lack of the kind of coin to hop a flight to go see a game. :D
