Re: Official super bowl thread
I called it at the beginning of the year. I'll call it now. Saints over Colts in Super Bowl 44

Re: Official super bowl thread
Betting on Saints because if they win, I'll net big money
But Colts probably will win

Re: Official super bowl thread
This thread is short in life but ill post this before the Favre bashing gets underway, but I feel bad for him, 2 NFC Championship games where the last offensive play he throws a pick. Sad way to go.

He took an absolute damn beating in the game...man.
As for the Super Bowl, I'm taking the Colts. New Orleans gave up a lot of yards to the Vikings...if Minnesota didn't turn the ball over as much as they did, they probably win that game. I don't see Indy handing it over like that. Also, Peyton is the master of adjustments, and will likely change assignments to neutralize a lot of those blitz packages.

He'll more than likely be back . . .

Re: Official super bowl thread
Its hard not to go with the Colts.
I said about two months ago, that the Saints D is about average, but thrives on Turn Overs, don't turn the ball over and they are very beatable.
We obviously saw that vs Minnesota.
Alot is made about how the Saints D got to Favre, but the Vikes OL has been very hit or miss toward the end of the year. The Colts D will not have the same issues.
The Colt offense should nopt have a hard time vs a Saints D that likes to gove up pass yards in bunches.

I read this as you're betting on the Saints b/c you already have a future bet on them winning, meaning you're trying to double your $. If that's so, you need to learn about hedge betting

bah, hedge betting is generally bad, its simply a way to limit your winnings.
But if your thinking of betting the game, "win big" is relative, abvoisuly if your betting the spread there's no such thing a "winning big", but if you looking at money lines the Saints are a +170, give or take 5 depending on where you look.
Although if you looking saints the number will probably fall so jump on that early, NO more than likely has the public money in this game and betting will probably come in more on that side, and with the line seeming a bit high (at +170, +5.5) as some place have it as low as 3.5 (w/o money lines) the high ends of 5.5/170 will likely come down,

Hedge betting is a way to guarantee profit in situations like this. However, I'm with you on him defining his meaning of 'winning big' b/c if he's winning say $50-250 then there's no incentive to headge, but if he's winning a decent amount of cash then hedging is encouraged if you're in it for the $
Also, the line has already jumped a point in Indy's favor on most sites with 2/3 of the bets being on Indy, so if you're on NO you're probably better off waiting.

Re: Official super bowl thread
Nah . . . That'd be the MLS one (or perhaps one of the women's teams, though I don't want to be labeled as a chauvinist or anything). :P

Don't care for it personally. When it comes to All-star games, baseball is the only one that's worth watching in my opinion. And I enjoy most sports and baseball isn't even my favoite sport, but their All-star game is above any beyond everyone else's.
