if the mets had a decent medical staff I would say yes, but he probably could have had this done last year when teh mets sucked, not that they are going to be any better this year

The Mets are a mess.
Isn't this not the first time Beltran has done something like this? I seem to recall an incident similar to this a few years back with him, but maybe I'm just crazy.
I don't remember any previous incident and can't find anything through some quick searching.
