We have like 4 All-Stars in our starting lineup (Reyes, Bay, Beltran, Wright) and a good cast of supporting players (Francoeur, Pagan, Murphy, Castillo, etc), along with one of the best pitchers in baseball and an improved bullpen.

Don't forget Bengie Molina when Omar signs him to a 3/$70

(Francoeur, Pagan, Murphy, Castillo, etc)

Those aren't good role players...

And Alex Cora as a backup shortstop

The Mets really aren't that bad of a team. Last year they were wrecked by injuries.

Bay, i mean, he should be pretty valuable, maybe not for what he will get paid...but hey, he isn't that bad.





the Mets need to be healthy, and get a pitching rotation.

I would have thought they would have tried for Lackey over Bay personally.
