Redskins finally get a football guy.

Finally after 10 1/2 years Redskins owner Synder gets it right, he hired a football guy to run his team. Schottenhimer and Gibbs were very good coaches but were not personal men. Hiring the son of a Redskins legend makes this all the sweeter, Allen may not be the best or brightest in the NFL but he is certainly the best GM the Redskins have had since Bobby Beathard.

Damn those Redskins suck

None of it matters until Snyder decided to let his football guys run the team. So long as players can walk over the coaches and management team and talk directly to Snyder, it doesn't matter who he hires.

Yep. It's that way in any organization. If people can consistantly go over the heads of the people they are supposed to be responsible to, it just undermines everybody except the head honcho. It's the same problem the Raiders have. It worked for the Raiders for a long time because Al Davis was actually a football guy, but now he's senile, or at least completely out-of-touch.
