Re: Mark Ingram wins the Hiesman
Any NFL GM would be retarded to not draft Suh #1 overall. Im looking in your direction Rams.

They'll draft a QB, Jimmy Clausen
Though Suh will be a beast. Only in my dreams I can imagine that the Steelers draft him

Well then Tampa Bay will reep the reward as they have a QB of the future in Josh Freeman. Cleveland and Detroit may have a shot too depending how the season plays out.

You take the best player when you have the first pick, not fill a need IMO, you fill needs later in the draft.
I would be taking the best overall player.

That would be way too high for Clausen, who still makes bad decisions and off the field still gets involved in way too much extra activities.

My philosophy as well.
Re: Mark Ingram wins the Hiesman
Well with the first pick...at times it's the best overall player you are able to sign. lol
Ohh wait. It's a uncapped year. Let the money fly.

It's not like having the first pick in the second round can't give you a decent quarter back still, or that you can't sign one. I dunno, I just think if you see an Alex Rodriguez in the draft and you have the first pick, you don't take a Catcher just because that is where you are weakest.
of in the correlation of basketball instead of baseball (because of the minor leagues and impact on a professional level more quickly) it's like passing on Lebron because you need a Center.

Also getting a Suh might help break open Chris Long. A very young D-Line could be a start of something special.
Re: Mark Ingram wins the Hiesman
I've seen Clausen as the first overall pick in many mock drafts. Either he or Jake Locker are at the top, though most of the mock drafts I see have Cleveland picking first. Besides, Clausen has a strong arm and is number 1/2 QB in the draft.
Nevertheless, the Rams will draft a QB because they have no one there. Bulger who? Null who? They already drafted two of the most vital roles in football in a defensive end and a tackle, so they'll probably get the third role and draft a QB.
Suh's a beast, and will hopefully land in Tampa. Or drop all the way to the Steelers :). Cleveland probably won't draft Suh because Cleveland sucks at drafting and will probably pick a QB because Mangini hates Quinn for some reason. The Lions need a tackle to protect Stafford, so they will probably draft Okung, and besides, I doubt they will be able to land Suh with the Bucs ahead of them.
Also, the Jags will draft Tebow because that would probably keep them in Jacksonville with a local star who can sell tickets. Plus it would be totally awesome.

Hmmmm. Just heard McShay say today he thinks Clausen slips to the second round. And that Bradford is the #1 QB in the draft.
Of course none of it really matters till after the combines and personal workouts. Kiper does have Clausen as the number one QB on his "big board" but doesn't have his mock draft out yet.
But like I said, mock drafts basically mean nothing right now. It would obviously also depend on who picks first. Detroit would obviously not pick Clausen and I doubt Tampa Bay would but Cleveland and St Louis seem to be the winners of the "Give me the number one pick".
Guess it would just matter if they think Clausen is a franchise quarterback. Mangini might pull the trigger (although never knew him to be a offensive genius) and stick with him like the Jets and Sanchez..
Ahhhh...my favorite time of year. lol
Re: Mark Ingram wins the Hiesman
If McShay believes Bradford is the number one QB after having a weaker arm than Clausen and having season ending surgery...that's kind of odd.

Dont forget, Tampa only has one win this year. ;) It may come down to them and St. Louis for #1.
