Re: Tiger Woods Seriously Injured after Car Accident
GOLF
Tiger Woods timeline
A glance at what has happened with the world's No. 1 golfer in the last week.
* Friday Nov. 27:
At 2:25 a.m. Woods backs out of his driveway in a gated community near Orlando, Fla., and his Cadillac SUV strikes a fire hydrant and hits a neighbor's tree. He is taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
It's almost 12 hours before the Florida Highway Patrol issues a report, saying Woods was "seriously" hurt in a car accident. News bulletins spread worldwide. In the afternoon, Woods' website issues a terse statement saying he is in "good condition," after being released from the hospital.
Later, a local police chief says Woods' wife, Elin, used a golf club to smash the back window to get Woods out of his SUV and that he had cuts in his lips, blood in his mouth and was in and out of consciousness when officers arrived. In the evening troopers come to Woods' home to talk to him, but his wife tells them Woods is resting and asks them to return Saturday. FHP says alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
* Saturday:
Woods postpones his interview with police and reschedules it for Sunday. FHP says Woods' SUV sustained up to $8,000 in damage.
There is widespread speculation in the news media and on the Internet on what precipitated the accident, but no complete account emerges. Woods is scheduled to hold a news conference Tuesday at his charity tournament in Thousand Oaks, but officials don't know if he will play in the event.
* Sunday:
Woods' attorney says the golfer is not available to talk to police. On his website Woods calls the accident "embarrassing to my family and me" and says, "this is a private matter and I want to keep it that way." A transcript of a 911 call, made by a neighbor, is released, saying Woods was on the ground after the accident, unconscious but breathing.
A few days before the accident, the National Enquirer publishes a story alleging Woods was seeing a New York club hostess; on Sunday the woman denied having an affair.
* Monday:
Woods on his website says he's withdrawing from his charity tournament, citing injuries from the accident. He also cancels his Tuesday news conference. Speculation on the Internet and in the media continues about Woods having an affair and arguing with his wife.
* Tuesday:
Woods is cited for careless driving and given a $164 fine, but the FHP does not file criminal charges and closes its investigation. An attorney for the neighbors who called 911 said Woods did not appear to be driving under the influence and showed no signs of having been in a fight, and that Woods' wife was kneeling beside her husband at the accident scene, upset about his injuries.
* Wednesday:
Us Weekly magazine reports that a Los Angeles cocktail waitress, Jaimee Grubbs, claims she had a 31-month affair with Woods. The magazine posts on its website what it claims is a voice mail, provided by Grubbs, that Woods left on her phone a few days before the car accident.
Woods issues a statement saying he let his family down with "transgressions" he regrets "with all of my heart," and that he will deal with his personal life behind closed doors. Woods did not offer details of any alleged relationship.
FHP issues its final report on the accident, including that after leaving his driveway, Woods' SUV crossed over a curb, onto a grass median and into a row of hedges before swerving into a hydrant and crashing into a tree; the SUV was traveling at 30 mph.

He deserves everything he gets, IMO.
What I am angry about has nothing to do with whether Woods is a good guy or not. I didnt say he deserved a trophy for what he done. But people are really evil for releasing recordings like that publicly. Especially it seems out of spite and money. Greed.
How can you really trust anyone if you know people are willing to go that far to just to smear a guy?

+1... Tis the sad truth :(

Re: Tiger Woods Seriously Injured after Car Accident
Two more people (making it 3) now come forward saying that Tiger fooled around with them. Also, the golfer who introduced Tiger to Tiger's wife wants to apologize to the wife for introducing her to Tiger.
Ooo, scandalous.:rolleyes:

I agree that releasing the tape was a scuzzy thing to do, but I just have a hard time feeling any malevolence toward her when he is ultimately responsible for it happening at all.

Well its not like he raped her. Ok he cheated, shes just as culpable for taking part in it to and then throwing that in his wifes face.

Who says that she even knew he was married? If she did, then yeah, she has a part in it too, but if Woods hadn't have made himself available, then none of it would happen.
I guess the way it was worded, your message seemed to completely scathe the woman and give Woods the whole, "Yeah it was wrong, but..." cop out.
Point is, my opinion of Tiger Woods took a HUGE hit because of all this.

I can see how you would think that. In no way im giving him a free pass. But I was pretty ticked at her when I heard the tape today, I thought it was unnecessary on her part, especially when she released a transcript prior to the tape.
Reading Text doesnt really stir up the same emotion as hearing it live on tape.

Re: Tiger Woods Seriously Injured after Car Accident
I find it more sad, that whenever something happens to any celebrity, people jump to any conclusions they can muster up, and take them as facts.
It's pathetic.

Yeah, if you can't trust the woman you are cheating on your wife with, who can you trust?

I disagree, a little bit. When someone makes money off of their persona (say for example-what razor they use or what underwear they wear) then their personal life/professional life line become a little blurrier.

He's not Joe Schmoe takng his ring off at the local bar trying to get some ladies. He's Tiger Woods. Every Sunday you see his wife and kid standing on the 18th green with him accepting the latest trophy.
If she's not dumb as a post or a complete shut in, I'm pretty sure she knew he was married.

in my opinion she is not wrong for doing what she did (the g/f). UNTIL she called and left messages.
It is on Tiger... HE is the one married not the G/F. if would be like if I cheated on my g/f with some other girl... my "side fling" is not a bad person. I would have been the one was cheating. I have to say yes... not her

Re: Tiger Woods Seriously Injured after Car Accident
Well, his wife is going to cash in either way with the new prenup. Gotta love being "in love" like these two.
Quote:
Tiger Woods has said that he let his family down with his transgressions of the past, but it seems that he wants to keep his marriage intact - although, it's gonna cost him!
As of Wednesday morning, Tiger's wife, Elin Nordegren has been offered a $5 million immediate payment if she agrees to work on the marriage.
When the couple first married in 2004, Elin signed a prenup that would award her $20 million after 10 years of marriage, but that's all about to change.
Their agreement has been revised to give her an additional $55 million in a shorter time period. Elin will collect $80 million if she stays with Tiger for another 7 years.
Not only will she have to show up to public events as if they were perfectly happy, but Elin will have to sign a nondisclosure agreement that will not allow her to tell her story. And even if she only stays two more years, she’ll get almost twice as much as the original prenup awarded her.
Tiger's camp believe that Elin is essential to keeping his corporate sponsors and revamping his image.

Gotta love them imaginary numbers...
well, until you start taking derivatives and integrals of them, then life gets rough.

So uh its better for his image to have to pay her 5 million signing bonus 80m/7 years to pretend to like him?
Maybe if she gets Boras as her agent she get the Yankees and Sox in the Meix and drive up the deal ... I mean she's not going to get Sabathia or Texiera money here, but Im sure he can at least push the signing bonus up, heck even Vanessa Bryant got a 4million ring ...
-
Re: Tiger Woods Seriously Injured after Car Accident
maybe she could get a bonus of $2.5 million and a Bentley every time she wins the Most Valuable Trophy Wife award.

Re: Tiger Woods Seriously Injured after Car Accident
I need more coverage on this.
Internet stories, and 24/7 coverage on ESPN, just isn't enough.
What's the difference between an Escalade and a golf ball?
Tiger can drive a golf ball 200 yards without hitting anything

How about:
Eldrick changing his cat nickname from "Tiger" to "Cheetah"

Maybe you didn't hear me...i need MORE TIGER COVERAGE
I want to read about Perez Hilton's feelings on the Tiger issue, while having ESPN's radio shows AND news coverage talking about Tiger's mistresses, WHILE continuously rerunning Chinese CGI animation of the event
And while I do that, my PC background will be this:
Attachment 27919
from the best news report out there:
Quote:
"The domestic component alone has forced us to use a TFB unit," said Detective Sidney Goldberg, referring to officers who have been assigned to the Truly ****ing Bizarre portion of the investigation. "They have a very difficult job to do because in a case with as much ridiculous **** as this one, every off-the-wall scenario has to be explored, even the just-sort-of ****ed-up ones."
Quote:
"I guess the only thing more outrageous is that this has been a major news item for over a week, and that people feel like they are entitled to know the private details of public figures' lives," Tolliver continued. "No matter which way you shake it, that's ****ing nuts."

Afghanistan Could Distract Media From Tiger, Experts Fear
WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report) - The morning after President Obama laid out his new strategy for the war in Afghanistan, media critics are expressing concern that the focus on Afghanistan could distract the media from getting to the bottom of the Tiger Woods story.
With the budgets of media companies stretched to the limit, there are worries that most outlets do not have the capacity to cover both a major war and an alleged scandal involving a prominent golfer and slutty nightclub employees.
Davis Logsdon, the director of the Media Studies Institute at the University of Minnesota, says the simultaneity of the Afghanistan and Tiger Woods stories will mean a "gut check" for the 24-hour news channels.
"Most news outlets will be forced to choose between analyzing the President's new troop deployment or airing Tiger's alleged voicemails," he said. "For the good of the Republic, I hope they will go with the voicemails."

I'm not sure because they have already done the gay professional football players one on SVU. I suppose there is a possible big time golfer episode in the making haha.
