I replied in the other thread. and I know, i just said the first couple that came to mind without much thought.
I said it in the other thread, but i think his career will rival Sandberg's....which is somewhere around a top 8-12 of all time. I don't think he can sustain production to end up as a top 5

I wouldn't label it fail just yet. The results aren't in yet, kind of like your 2000 presidential election. Right now, it's a big wait and see.

Re: How much will each free agent get?
So what should we do with our predictions Jeffy. When players start signing, should we mark out predictions in particular colors to show if each part of each prediction is correct or incorrect, or is there some kind of scoring system? haha.

Re: How much will each free agent get?
This has been updated thus far with four players, waiting on the terms of Zaun's deal.
If anyone would like to throw in predictions, teams and players, whatever, go ahead. Now is a good time.

Re: How much will each free agent get?
So close on Bay. Just needed 6 mil more and put him on the Mets, haha.
-
Re: How much will each free agent get?
6 right so far, 7 if you count Wakefield
-
Re: How much will each free agent get?
This offseason has been some what slow and not too exciting so far and it makes this prediction thread extremely unexciting as well, haha.

So because you were wrong can we ridicule you? Or no?

I know, so crazy, right? A team would trade the more talented player (Uggla) to sign the crappier player for a higher base salary. The world works in mysterious ways.

Re: How much will each free agent get?
Jeffy is so not running this thing next year.

Re: How much will each free agent get?
Updated today. Didn't do too bad at all, though I apparently vastly overrated the RP market.

Not the White Sox. Ozzie Guillen said he's fine with Omar Vizquel DHing.
Seriously.

The Twins and Jim Thome have agreed to a one-year contract worth at least $1.5MM. Thome can earn $750K more through incentives. The 39-year-old receives $100K for passing 250, 300 and 350 plate appearances, respectively. Then he will get $150K for passing the 400, 450 and 500-plate appearance plateaus.
Must be nice to get an additional 100 grand for stepping to the plate another 50 times :)
Of course, that's how I would want a deal with Thome as well.
