Re: Coghlan, Bailey Win Rookie of the Year
Why aren't there full voting results for the NL?

Re: Coghlan, Bailey Win Rookie of the Year
Bailey won over Porcello? really?
Let me guess.....is it because he was an all-star!?

Or maybe because he was better? o.O
-
Re: Coghlan, Bailey Win Rookie of the Year
not that bailey didn't deserve it, but i felt like Porcello and Andrus would win over him....that's all.
Coghlan, i have no problems with that selection, Happ could have easily been given the award.
it was a close race in both leagues this year. which keeps it fun.

I agree with Bailey. He had a great year. 80 innings of high-leverage relief at that level of quality? He deserves it.
The full NL voting results are at the BBWAA website, which fortunately is no longer neon green. Casey McGehee placed higher than Dexter Fowler, so MichelleWie should be happy ;).

Re: Coghlan, Bailey Win Rookie of the Year
Andrus deserved it in the AL. Coghlan is certainly a defensible NL pick.

We all know tomorrow is the day where we can all either get super pissed off or say "Thank God the writers didn't **** this one up"

You forgot the third option of not caring :p

I still won't care, lol. If anything I'd be mad because that would just increase the money in his extension.

Re: Coghlan, Bailey Win Rookie of the Year
Very happy with the NL choice. AL choice I'm indifferent about.
-
Re: Coghlan, Bailey Win Rookie of the Year
Bailey deserved it. He had a nasty rookie season.
-
Re: Coghlan, Bailey Win Rookie of the Year
Hanson got 2 first place votes, so I'm happy... ;)...
:(

Re: Coghlan, Bailey Win Rookie of the Year
Im happy about Bailey, I can only imagine what team he will be traded to when its contract time. :(

Re: Coghlan, Bailey Win Rookie of the Year
Hush, you pessimist. Drink the Kool-Aid and enjoy him while he's lasts on the Oakland A's.

I'd be more prepared for the disappointment of Bailey regressing than him being traded away.

Well, we're all going to die someday too, but there's no use dwelling on that now, is there?

Yeah, but look on the bright side. If you die tomorrow, you won't have to watch Bailey either regress or get traded. :D

that's what i was thinking.

Re: Coghlan, Bailey Win Rookie of the Year
Seriously he had such an outstanding season that it would make total sense to have a sophomore slump in 2010. Even with a slump he would still be a good closer. I can see his ERA jumping into the low 3's, with a few more blown saves.
I would still take him though, until he gets traded away.

That just goes to show you that, as much as everyone on here and on BP think they know everything. They really aren't even as smart as the writers. Alot of people take themselves way way to seriously on here. Alot of the people on this forum are condescending jerks who don't know as much as they think they do.

Actually, no it doesn't. The only way that would be true is if the writers were correct on this issue, but there's no way to prove that.

Really? I'd say it goes to show you that no one on this forum really gives a **** about Dexter Fowler or Casey McGehee, and that a couple of Rockies fans were goofing around on their ballots.
You are taking this more seriously than anyone else here.

Re: Coghlan, Bailey Win Rookie of the Year
Good to hear. Have fun celebrating Casey McGahee's 5th place finish tonight with your friends.
-
Re: Coghlan, Bailey Win Rookie of the Year
michelle, pretty sure everyone on here knows that our opinions are not facts.
well except for that one debate.
but so long as your discussing with the majority of us, tang, HGM, free, OD, bingle, HAC and a long line of other intelligent contributors, you will see that.

Yeah, clearly.
It has nothing to do with how most people on this forum correctly identified that neither Dexter Fowler or Casey McGehee were amongst the top 3 rookies in the league, and there just so happened to be like two forum members that placed Dexter Fowler on their ballot.
Not sure how yamiviet and one or two other people voting for Dexter Fowler and everyone else leaving both Fowler and McGehee off their ballot is somehow proof that we "don't even know as much as the writers", but, whatever. lol

I was left off since I am not intelligent any more:(
And michelle since Houston said it is now fact;)
