Those guys for Felix? I'd probably not root for the Mariners until they made it up to me.
Honestly though.
Ellsbury = Decent player, nothing special. He plays below average defense in CF which is crazy considering how good he is on the basepaths and his offense gets a big boost from fenway.
Buchholz = Good prospect, but I wouldn't call him an equal to Felix. If a Felix trade were to happen though, Buchholz is going to be involved.
Bard = Another good prospect, but he's a reliever and he only has so much value over the course of a season.
Also : The Mariners spent 2 of their last 3 first round picks on relievers, so getting Bard doesn't fit our needs and Ellsbury could move to LF, but the Mariners already have Michael Saunders/Tyson Gillies/Dustin Ackley.
Re: Granderson and friends
The A's will own you guys next year. :)

Maybe, the only team I think WONT finish in last place is the Rangers. The AL West is, in my mind, the third toughest division in the game behind both Easts. Crazy how good the teams are run now considering how bad the division was not long ago.

Yeah seriously though, Im not sold on Geren as manager, he really makes some boneheaded moves with the bullpen. I really wish we kept Ron Washington and made him manager. I think its very possible for all teams in the AL West to be around .500 or better in the end next season.
Our downfall of course would be a lack of a great power hitter. I love our Rotation however, could be the best in baseball in 2011 barring injuries.

Exactly! I think everyone around Boston is expecting it too. It may not be Felix but I do feel like it may be something big and it will come in the form of a trade. Epstein already said that there is a good chance this offseason will be similar to last, not a ton of spending. So my thought is, why not trading then, haha.

I think he is buying his time, you dont want to show your hand early because the Yankees will try to counter what the Sox are doing.

Exactly.
Re: Granderson and friends
if felix was involved in any trade, expect to be moving at least two solid pitching rotation prospects.
and i don't know why seattle would move him.
1. they can afford him
2. they have a competitive team, that could easily win their division.

That's exactly why I said I doubt it would happen. It just wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for Seattle. You can't really beat having such a young dominent and cheap pitcher like that.
All I ever hear though through the Boston media is names like Felix, Adrian Gonzalez, Holliday, Halladay, Bay, and Lackey.
Anyways I really would be interested to see what happens in the next couple of days to see if any other teams discuss these possible Tigers players in a deal.
Re: Granderson and friends
Granderson needs to stay in Detroit. He just looks right in a Tigers home uniform.

Re: Granderson and friends
I dont think King Felix going anywhere. Seattle has to lock in on at least one player to rebuild the team and he is it according to management. They have a great stadium in a great town. All it needs is a commitment to rebuilding w/ young players. Fans will come. Felix is the base. If they trade him away, they might as well become the Expos.
Re: Granderson and friends
Vindication. Jackson moves, Granderson comes to NY.
