Re: Anyone enjoying Football Mogul?
I love BM and think its worth every penny, but FM frankly (not to be mean) just isnt up to cost of admission yet. If I was asked to give a value to the game in its current form I would say 8-14 dollars. Its not that there isnt fun parts its just that when you play Bm and then play FM the differences in options is glaring. With Madden now a console kiddie only option I am left without my yearly football fix. Yet FM just doesnt give me enough yet to justify the cost.
Next year I will definately give it another look but unless there are major updates I think I will pass. Sorry
Re: Anyone enjoying Football Mogul?
I would certainly agree that the game is not worth the price charged for it (which didn´t stop me from buying it anyway- a fool and his money and all that), and I also agree when you compare it to Baseball Mogul it doesn t compare at all.
There are also some quite basic features that are missing (how can you not have a report of trades???), but the key is not to compare it to Baseball Mogul, but to the other football management games out there. Oh, sorry, the other football management GAME out there (Madden 2008). So in that light I think FM is a fair game. Not great by any means, but passable.
After playing FM 2007 and 2008 I had grown tired of the game, but what brought me back was the ability to play past seasons. As a forty-something football fanatic, I get a big kick playing the old timers, like Johnny Unitas, Emerson Boozer, et. al., and that is what sold me.
Hopefully the game can improve and we can have the features we have come to expect (hey, we´ve got boxscores now, amazing!), but until then I will be content with my beloved Oilers who will never move to Tennessee and who will NEVER have Bud Adams as an owner!

You might also want to permanently delete Frank Reich :p
Re: Anyone enjoying Football Mogul?
Yeah, there are many who should be deleted (most of them Oiler coaches), but Reich will definitely be the first to go!
